  • Publication number: 20230414254
Abstract: A device and method of use for treatment/management of postpartum uterine bleeding or hemorrhage of a patient. The device includes a suction tube having a distal end portion at which an aperture or an array of plural apertures is located and extending about the periphery of the distal portion. A sealing member having a flexible sidewall whose outer surface is of a generally conical, bulbous, or cylindrical shape is mounted on the suction tube and extends distally from the apex of the sealing member so that a portion of its sidewall can be brought into engagement with tissue outside of the uterus. Suction from a vacuum source is applied to a proximal end portion of the suction tube to apply suction via the aperture(s) to the interior of the patient's uterus.
