  • Patent number: 11904133
Abstract: An LVP that provides peristaltic pumping to removably couplable administration set tubing assemblies supplying medical infusate. The LVP includes a housing, a drive-train assembly, and a controller. The housing includes an assembly receptacle configured to receive an administration set tubing assembly. The drive-train assembly provides mechanical peristaltic movement within the assembly receptacle. The drive-train assembly includes a stepper motor located within the housing and a camshaft assembly, driven by the stepper motor and at least partially extending into the assembly receptacle. The camshaft assembly includes a unitary camshaft and a plurality of tube engaging members that cooperatively move according to rotation of the unitary camshaft. Further, the controller is located within the housing that controls operation of the stepper motor and the camshaft assembly.

  • Publication number: 20210236719
Abstract: A syringe pump configured to at least partially surround a syringe loaded into the pump. The syringe pump including a syringe pump housing defining a syringe receptacle shaped and sized to accept loading of the syringe, a plunger driver assembly configured to manipulate a plunger of a syringe loaded into the syringe pump, and a syringe housing including a syringe barrel shield pivotably coupled to the syringe pump housing configured to at least partially enclose a syringe loaded into the syringe pump within the syringe receptacle, and a syringe plunger tray and lid assembly operably coupled to the syringe pump housing and configured to at least partially enclose a portion of the plunger driver assembly.

  • Patent number: 10004847
Abstract: A system for occlusion detection could include a syringe pump for a syringe containing a medication, wherein the syringe includes a plunger and the syringe pump includes a plunger driver. A bendable element could be integrally formed with the plunger driver, and a force sensor could also be integrally formed with the plunger driver. Upon occurrence of an occlusion, the plunger would exert a force backwardly against the bendable element, thereby deflecting the bendable element into contact with the force sensor to thereby generate a signal indicating the occurrence of the occlusion.

  • Publication number: 20180043088
Abstract: A compact medical infusion pump includes a base unit and a compact pump mechanism coupled to the base unit. The compact pump mechanism also includes a carriage member shaped to support a medical syringe, is movable in a first linear direction relative to the base unit, and is fixed to a first guide rod arm. The mechanism further includes a plunger driver shaped to selectively engage a plunger portion of the medical syringe, is moveable in a second linear direction opposite the first linear direction, and is fixed to a second guide rod arm. The mechanism also includes a rotatable drive member that is centrally located with respect to the base unit and is driven by a drive train assembly. The rotatable drive member engages both the first guide rod arm and the second guide rod arm to translate the carriage member and the plunger driver in opposite directions.

  • Patent number: 9734813
Abstract: A bell with silencing and or sound dampening mechanism is disclosed. In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the disclosed bell comprises a bell, a clamp body attaching to the bell, a lever installed on the clamp body and is configured to be slidable on the clamp body, a clapper and a cable connecting the lever at one end and the clapper at other end. When the lever is moved in a direction away from the bell, the clapper is retracted into the head of the bell and becomes stationary, preventing the clapper to contact the body of the bell.
