Abstract: A computer-implemented method is provided for simultaneous simulation of one-dimensional flow and multi-dimensional flow in a fluid flow network. Processes define meshes of nodes for both one-dimensional and multi-dimensional flow components in a fluid flow network. Another process defines a relational data structure for each adjacent node pair in each multi-dimensional flow component. A flow analysis code is executed to model fluid flow throughout the fluid flow network using the one-dimensional and multi-dimensional meshes of nodes, and each relational data structure.

Abstract: A door barricade configured to secure a door from an outside threat can include a ridged bulletproof plate. The door barricade can be connected to the door via a fastener. In some embodiments, the fastener is an L-bracket. In other embodiments, the fastener is a ballistic nylon mechanism. The door barricade can also include at least one crossbar and at least one foot to help prevent the door from being forced open. The door barricade can also include a carrying handle to allow for easier deployment of the barricade. In some embodiments, the plate can include a door handle notch that can be covered with a door handle cover. In other or the same embodiments, a door skirt is present. In some embodiments, side panels are attached to the barricade via mounting brackets.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus to manage meal planning and coupon dispensing are disclosed. An example method includes parsing a message posted on a social networking service to extract a keyword by determining which of a plurality of entries relates to food; querying a recipe service using the keyword as an ingredient to produce a first set of recipes including the ingredient; comparing each of the first set of recipes to a profile corresponding to a consumer associated with the message to produce a second set of recipes customized to the consumer; and conveying at least a first one of the second set of recipes to the consumer.
