  • Patent number: 10890909
Abstract: A method and system enabling an automated vehicular mode switching improvement is provided. The method includes receiving detected road conditions, weather related data, and current GPS coordinates associated with a vehicle in motion. The detected road conditions and weather related data are analyzed. In response, it is determined that the vehicle is currently operating in an autonomous driving mode and should be switched to a manual driving mode. A resulting alert is generated. The alert is presented to the user and it is determined if the vehicle has been switched to manual driving mode.
