    Abstract: A polymeric amide which comprises:(i) from 30% to 60% by weight of units derived from .epsilon.-caprolactam or .epsilon.-aminocaproic acid(ii) from 25% to 55% by weight of units derived from equimolar quantitites of hexamethylene diamine and isophthalic acid and(iii) from 5% to 35% by weight of units derived from equimolar quantities of hexamethylene diamine and adipic acid.The polymeric amide can be used as a hot melt adhesive.
