The canopy luminaire is removably secured to the canopy socket assembly in response to relative rotation of the canopy luminaire and the canopy socket assembly. The canopy socket assembly may include at least one electrical contact and the mating connector assembly of the canopy luminaire may include at least one second electrical contact that cooperates with the at least one first electrical contact to establish an electrical connection therebetween in response to the relative rotation of the canopy luminaire and the canopy socket assembly.
