Patent number: 11982474Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methodologies, systems and apparatus for cooling pump heads and providing balanced cooling and heat transfer between multiple pump heads. Multi-pump systems that are used to pump fluids that vary greatly in density with minor changes in temperature, such as the mobile phase of a C02-based chromatography system, require highly stable temperature conditions. In order to achieve a substantially equal average heat transfer between multiple pump heads and a coolant fluid, coolant fluid may be flowed through coolant passageways within the pump heads in a recursive and/or parallel coolant flow patterns. Such recursive and/or parallel coolant fluid flow patterns provide increased stability in temperature, compressibility, and density of the fluids passing through a multi-pump system.Type: GrantFiled: April 1, 2020Date of Patent: May 14, 2024Assignee: Waters Technologies CorporationInventors: Michael R. Publication number: 20240155556Abstract: A user equipment (UE) can be a mobile terminating (MT) device that may receive data from another UE or other network element via a telecommunication network. When a small data payload is available for an MT UE, a base station of the telecommunication network can send a paging message to the UE that includes a Mobile Terminating Small Data Transmission (MT-SDT) paging cause. Based on the MT-SDT paging cause in the paging message, the UE can use Small Data Transmission (SDT) procedures to respond to the paging message. The SDT procedures can allow the UE to obtain the small data payload while the UE remains in a Radio Resource Control (RRC) Inactive state.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 3, 2022Publication date: May 9, 2024Inventors: Kun Lu, John Humbert, Scott Francis Migaldi, Christopher H. Patent number: 11951683Abstract: A method for improving z-axis strength of a 3D printed object is disclosed. For example, the method includes printing a three-dimensional (3D) object with a polymer and magnetic particles, heating the 3D object to a temperature at approximately a melting temperature of the polymer, and applying a magnetic field to the 3D object to locally move the magnetic particles in the polymer to generate heat and fuse the polymer around the magnetic particles to improve a z-axis strength of the 3D object.Type: GrantFiled: July 11, 2022Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: Xerox CorporationInventors: Chunliang Lu, Christopher Wolfe, John Ianni, Mark Mercandetti, John Pawlak, Chieh-Min Cheng

Patent number: 11928964Abstract: A parking availability predictor system provides a prediction of parking availability that meets a user's specified needs. When the user submits a query for parking availability, he can include desired parking criteria such as location, handicapped status, and desired time to begin parking. The system consults a parking occupancy model which gathers current and historical information about parking occupancy, including parking durations and durations of vacancies between occupancies. The model processes the gathered information into a statistical predictor of parking occupancy and vacancy. The system uses the predictor to predict when parking that meets the user's needs will become available. That prediction, including user-suitable parking locations along with the expected start of their vacancies, is then sent to the user in answer to his query.Type: GrantFiled: April 4, 2022Date of Patent: March 12, 2024Assignee: United Services Automobile Association (USAA)Inventors: Nikhil Dama, Laura Frisbie Evans, Christopher Ryan Haberland, Ting Lu, Simon Phillip Stolarczyk, Kristopher Thomas Williams

Patent number: 11928163Abstract: A technique is provided for creating digital memories for a particular person. A data store stores personal data derived from signals gathered from a plurality of sensors that monitor the particular person. Memories creation processing circuitry, responsive to detection of a given event associated with the particular person, performs an augmentation process to generate an augmented given event identifying multiple items of data associated with the given event, including personal data associated with the given event obtained from the data store. The memories creation processing circuitry analyses the multiple items of data identified by the augmented given event in order to generate a given digital memory for the given event. A memories data store stores digital memories generated by the memories creation processing circuitry for the particular person, and memories analysis circuitry determines and maintains associations between the digital memories in the memories data store.Type: GrantFiled: February 11, 2022Date of Patent: March 12, 2024Assignee: Arm LimitedInventors: Remy Pottier, Minsheng Lu, Arthur Michael Goldberg, Christopher Daniel Emmons

Patent number: 11253956Abstract: A structural member includes a body having a first surface, a second surface, and an end surface at an end portion of the structural member. The end portion of the structural member includes a root protrusion extending radially outward from the second surface of the structural member along a root protrusion radius to an outer end of the root protrusion to define a root protrusion height extending from the second surface of the structural member to the outer end of the root protrusion. The root protrusion further includes a root protrusion width extending between an inner edge and an outer edge of the outer end of the root protrusion. The root protrusion radius, the root protrusion height, and the root protrusion width are configured to define a stress protected weld root region isolated beyond and away from a root stress flow path propagated through the body of the structural member.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 2020Date of Patent: February 22, 2022Assignee: Caterpillar Inc.Inventors: David R.
