  • Patent number: 10490039
Abstract: A detection device coupled to an item includes a sensor configured to detect user interaction with the item and transmit a signal related to the user interaction and the item. A processor of the detection device receives the signal and determines a type of the user interaction and information about the item based on the signal. The detection device is configured to transmit a signal indicating the type of the user interaction and the information about the item. A server is configured to receive the signal (e.g., from the detection device or a HUB) and determine a user interaction profile associated with the item. The user interaction profile can indicate data about one or more users' interaction with the item or data about the item. The server is also configured to output data indicating the user interaction profile via a graphical user interface or store the data.

  • Publication number: 20190227807
Abstract: Hardware units and methods for performing matrix multiplication via a multi-stage pipeline wherein the storage elements associated with one or more stages of the pipeline are clock gated based on the data elements and/or portions thereof that known to have a zero value (or can be treated as having a zero value). In some cases, the storage elements may be clock gated on a per data element basis based on whether the data element has a zero value (or can be treated as having a zero value). In other cases, the storage elements may be clock gated on a partial element basis based on the bit width of the data elements. For example, if bit width of the data elements is less than a maximum bit width for the data elements then a portion of the bits related to that data element can be treated as having a zero value and a portion of the storage elements associated with that data element may not be clocked. In yet other cases the storage elements may be clock gated on both a per element and a partial element basis.

  • Patent number: 10362523
Abstract: Femtocell coverage can be extended across a coverage area by providing a cluster of femtocell access points (FAPs). Each FAP is independently registered with a core network and provisioned with a location area code common to each FAP. At hand-in from the macrocell network, an association is made between the mobile station and the hand-in FAP, which becomes an anchor FAP for the duration of the mobile station's presence within the cluster. Calls between the mobile station and the core network are routed via a servicing FAP of the cluster and the anchor FAP.

  • Publication number: 20190171775
Abstract: Techniques allow a computer to responsively search for graph shapes similar to a user-selected graph shape much faster. Data can be pre-processed and stored as vectors, along with an index. The index can be used to find similar vectors that represent graph shapes similar to a user-selected shape in a computationally efficient manner. Vectors of multiple resolutions can be used to anticipate different sizes of a graph that a user can select, and comparisons can be repeated and refined. When a satisfactorily small number of candidate vectors are determined, more computationally intensive distance calculations can be performed on data reconstructed from the vectors.

  • Publication number: 20190170996
Abstract: Embodiments relate to systems and methods for sample image capture using integrated control. A digital microscope or other imaging device can be associated with a sample chamber containing cell, tissue, or other sample material. The chamber can be configured to operate using a variety of environmental variables, including gas concentration, temperature, humidity, and others. The imaging device can be configured to operate using a variety of imaging variables, including magnification, focal length, illumination, and others. A central system control module can be used to configure the settings of those hardware elements, as well as others, to set up and carry out an image capture event. The system control module can be operated to control the physical, optical, chemical, and/or other parameters of the overall imaging environment from one central control point. The variables used to produce the image capture can be configured to dynamically variable during the media capture event.
