  • Patent number: 8827391
Abstract: In one version, variable data digital printing where certain record images are selected from a database and user designated variable data is entered into the selected record images creating personalized images. Data tags are inserted into the personalized images which are stored. The stored personalized images are scanned for specified tags; and, the results of the scan identified to the user for verification of accuracy. Provision is made for image display and correction, and inputs may be entered from a user interface prior to printing. Another version provides for supplying heated individual colorant resin to printheads for printing on print media. Heated conductive resin is supplied to a separate printhead for concurrently printing continuously conductive resin as a circuit having discrete information therein with the printed image thus forming a concurrently printed RFID tag.

  • Patent number: 8305605
Abstract: A composition engine for a print shop includes a database having a unique identifier for each electronic data storage device associated with the print shop and print shop data. The composition engine also includes a schema element that associates a set of the data stored in the database with each print job and assigns the set of data to at least one electronic data storage device. The composition engine generates the print job and transmits the print job and the set of data to a printing device of the print shop as page description language. The set of data is stored on the electronic data storage device with a programming device associated with the printing device, the set of data including a unique identifier associated with the electronic data storage device on which the set of data is stored. The print job is printed and the electronic data storage device is attached to or printed on a page of the print job.

  • Publication number: 20040039608
Abstract: The present invention provides a computer-implemented system and method for providing a post employment qualified health care benefit plan funded during a covered person's working years to covered persons under the plan. The method having the steps of providing a computer system to manipulate and process a plurality of predefined variables; electing a number of benefit payout years for receiving benefits during a payout period; electing either a standard non-lump-sum premium option or a lump sum premium option; electing standard non-lump-sum variables under the standard non-lump-sum premium option; electing lump sum variables under the lump sum premium option; using the computer system to calculate a schedule of premiums based on the standard non-lump-sum variables and the lump sum variables to obtain an associated maximum benefit amount; and paying a maximum benefit amount for qualified health expenses upon occurrence of a triggering event.
