Abstract: The present invention relates to compositions and methods for preventing or treating canine pruritic disease, optionally wherein the canine pruritic disease is canine atopic dermatitis (AD) in general, and a synthetic canine interferon (IFN)-alpha (?) for use in said treatment or prophylaxis in particular, as well as a composition and method comprising the same and a method of production of the synthetic canine interferon-alpha.

Abstract: A device may be configured to generate a display of a content in a view region. The view region has a given boundary, and the content is provided for display at a first size. The device may be configured to receive a size-adjusting input for adjusting a size of the content. The device may be configured to cause the size of the content to change from the first size to a second size. The device may be configured to receive an indication of ending the size-adjusting operation, and in response to receiving the indication, cause the size of the content to change to a third size that is between the first size and the second size. In addition, or alternative, to receiving the size-adjusting input, the device may also receive a position-adjusting input and, in response, adjust the position and/or size of the content within the given boundary.

Abstract: An assessment device is provided which allows for measurement of a position of interest, e.g., a body part, while a subject is in a functional position, such as may be required for the demands of an activity of interest without also requiring a lengthy setup time, tethered connection to other equipment external to the subject or tedious manual measurements. Moreover, an indicator such as an alarm or other output may be provided for receiving immediate, real time feedback, such as when a functional activity falls outside a tolerance or threshold.

Abstract: A device for protecting the arm of a user consists of a protective sleeve and a tubular pouch sized to fit around a user's upper arm. The protective sleeve is made of a preselected protective fabric and is extendible from a retracted position to an extended position for deployment. The protective sleeve is shaped and sized such that in the extended position, the protective sleeve envelops the user's lower arm. An adjustable hand opening at the lower end of the protective sleeve is sized to allow a user's hand to extend out of the protective sleeve. The upper end of the protective sleeve is affixed to an inner portion of the pouch. The tubular pouch is shaped to form a circumferentially extending storage cavity for storing the protective sleeve in a retracted position. This cavity is closed by a closure mechanism when the protective sleeve is stored inside the pouch. The pouch has an attachment mechanism for attaching the pouch to the upper arm portion of the user's shirt.
