  • Publication number: 20070108231
Abstract: A dispensing device is provided which may include a nozzle adapted to receive and dispense a plurality of pressurized constituents. The nozzle may include an inlet portion; an outlet portion spaced from the inlet portion; and an actuation member receiving portion. The dispensing device may further include a head configured to receive the nozzle therein. The head may include a bottom part mountable atop a plurality of pressurized containers, and a top part adapted to be received on the bottom part of the head so as to substantially enclose the nozzle. The top part of the head may include a resilient actuation portion formed integrally thereon and adapted to be depressed by a user and an actuation member disposed on an internal surface of the resilient actuation portion of the head for contacting the nozzle actuation member receiving portion.

  • Publication number: 20050243647
Abstract: A mixing system and methods for mixing a plurality of constituents from a plurality of containers that includes a collar (30), a head (10), a cartridge (20) and, optionally a base (40). If present, the base is configured to hold and secure at least two containers (50). The collar is configured for coupling to the containers (50). A head (10) is coupled to the collar (20) and contains the cartridge (20). The cartridge includes a plenum (22), a mixing canal (24), and an outlet (23), that are connected to mix the constituents as they pass through the plenum, mixing canal and outlet and are released from the container. The mixing canal (24) includes a plurality of columns (26), which may be of any shape, to facilitate mixing. The system can also include a leaver (29) for activating release of the constituents from the containers (50).

  • Patent number: 6877924
Abstract: A dispensing device (10) is detachably mountable atop a plurality of valved containers (12a, 12b) containing constituents under pressure which are dispensed upon actuation of the container valves (17). The dispensing device (10) comprises a mixing chamber (56) for mixing together the constituents dispensed form the containers (12a, 12b) to form a mixed product and for outputting the mixed product through plural outlet ports (64), an applicator (25) having a plurality of tines (76) at least some of which are hollow, the hollow tines (76) being in fluid communication with respective outlet ports (64) of the mixing chamber (56) for dispensing from distal ends thereof the mixed product, and an actuator (50) for simultaneously actuating the container valves (17).

  • Patent number: 6070594
Abstract: A retractable brush for brushing, cleaning and curling hair comprises an outer tubular member having a pattern of bristle apertures, and an inner tubular member extending lengthwise within the outer tubular member and being mounted to undergo angular displacement in opposite directions within the outer tubular member. A plurality of bristle supports each extend lengthwise within the outer tubular member and support a series of bristles. The bristle supports have opposite end portions turnably mounted on flanges on the inner tubular member to undergo angular displacement in forward and reverse directions to effect extension and retraction of the bristles through the bristle apertures of the outer tubular member in response to angular displacement of the inner tubular member.
