    Abstract: A motorized vehicle is disclosed including a deck to support a rider, at least two wheels coupled to the deck, a footpad rotatably coupled to the deck, and a drive motor coupled to one of the wheels and the footpad. The drive motor is configured to rotate one of the wheels when the footpad is in an engaged position. An actively stabilized motorized vehicle is also disclosed including a deck, a pair of in-line wheels coupled to the deck, a steering motor to adjust a steering angle of one of the wheels, a series of sensors to measure dynamic conditions of the motorized vehicle, a microprocessor to calculate, based on the dynamic conditions, a stabilizing steering angle acceleration of one of the wheels, and a controller to send a signal to the steering motor to steer the second wheel with the stabilizing steering angle acceleration to stabilize the vehicle.
