Abstract: A computer-implemented method for prioritizing communications in an aircraft emergency may include receiving, via an application programming interface, a first indication from a user device that an emergency event has begun aboard an aircraft; identifying a first state representative of a first set of communication capabilities for at least the user device and a second state representative of a second set of communication capabilities for at least the user device such that the second set of communication capabilities allows for improved communication from the user device compared to the first set of communication capabilities; causing at least the user device to transition from the first state to the second state; receiving a second indication from the user device to transition from the second state to the first state; and causing at least the user device to transition from the second state to the first state.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for retrieving flight data in a medical emergency includes receiving, by one or more processors of a first user device and via an application programming interface, an indication of a medical emergency aboard an aircraft; retrieving, by the one or more processors and responsive to receiving the indication of the medical emergency, flight data associated with the medical emergency from a flight management system associated with the aircraft; automatically categorizing, by the one or more processors, the retrieved flight data based at least on one or more flight data fields associated with the medical emergency to generate categorized flight data; and transmitting, by the one or more processors, at least some of the categorized flight data to a second user device external to the aircraft.

Abstract: An example system includes an in-vehicle content-delivery system (CDS) on a vehicle storing a library of content, and a content server including a content portal. The content portal may receive a request for a customized content manifest from the CDS, identify the vehicle, identify a customized content manifest, and provide the customized content manifest to the CDS. The customized content manifest may include a list of content customized for an itinerary and/or the vehicle, and wherein the customized content manifest differs from another content manifest customized for a different itinerary and/or a different vehicle. The CDS may remove first content from the library of content when the first content is not included in the list of content, and load second content to the library of content when the second content is included in the list of content and not already present in the library of content.
