Patent number: 12285626Abstract: Lighting systems, methods, and devices for protecting human circadian neuroendocrine function during night use are described. Suitable lighting conditions can be provided for a working environment while protecting the circadian neuroendocrine systems of those occupying the illuminated workplace during the night. Lighting systems, methods, and devices can provide substantive attenuation of the pathologic circadian disruption in night workers. Lighting systems, methods, and devices can attenuate the specific bands of light implicated in circadian disruption. LED lighting systems, methods, and devices can provide increased intensity at a different portion of the spectrum than conventional LEDs, providing a useable white light even when unfavorable portions of the wavelength are attenuated by a notch filter.Type: GrantFiled: February 13, 2023Date of Patent: April 29, 2025Assignee: KORRUS, INC.Inventors: Martin Christopher Moore-Ede, Rebecca Mary Chacko, Anneke Marlies Heitmann, Robert Frederic Casper, Robert Frank Karlicek, Jr., Doros Platika, Udo Trutschel

Publication number: 20250110999Abstract: An online system receives a trip request including a location of the user requesting the trip. The online system identifies buildings or geographies based on the received location and determines location boundaries associated with the identified buildings or geographies. The online system identifies a set of hotspots representing locations that are frequently used for pickup or drop off. The online system additionally identifies a set of points of interest. The points of interest are, for example, businesses, landmarks, building names, or other visible information related to the location. The online system scores the set of points of interest based on a relative value of displaying the point of interest for orientation or navigation purposes. The online system modifies a user interface to display a map of the area including the identified location boundaries, hotspots, and one or more points of interest based on the scoring.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 11, 2024Publication date: April 3, 2025Inventor: Christopher Moore

Publication number: 20250043734Abstract: A method includes the steps of providing an engine with a compressor. A tap taps air from the compressor and passes it through a bleed valve, and a precooler, and downstream of the precooler to a use on an associated aircraft. Fan cooling air passes through a fan air valve across the precooler to cool the tapped air before it passes to the use and then into a core engine downstream of the precooler to cool internal components. If shutdown of the engine is coming, the method runs the engine for a period of time, closes the bleed valve and opens the fan air valve to allow fan cooling air to continue passing through the precooler, and into the engine to cool the components. A combination and an aircraft are also disclosed.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 31, 2023Publication date: February 6, 2025Inventors: Federico Papa, Christopher Moore

Publication number: 20240247943Abstract: Route guidance using less client device power and bandwidth is enabled by automatically selecting portions of a map to display with higher and lower levels of detail. An origin location and destination location are displayed at a higher level of detail, while portions between origin and destination are displayed at a lower level of detail. A user of a transportation service may request a ride, specifying her pickup location and destination locations using a map rendered at a higher level of detail. While waiting for pickup, and while in route to the destination location, the user may consult a map that is rendered at a lower level of detail. When multiple users participate as riders in a transportation service, sharing a common driver but each having different pickup and drop off locations, portions of a map may be rendered differently for each user.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 2, 2024Publication date: July 25, 2024Inventors: Seung Woo Lee, Christopher Moore
