  • Patent number: 12032448
Abstract: A method includes receives data representing a changed chunk of data in a current revision of a data volume, the changed chunk includes data having changes from previous data of a previous revision of the data volume. The method creates a block of data representing the changed chunk of data on the object store, the object store also stores previous revision data of the previous revision. The method determines a previous index stored on the object store corresponding to the previous revision, which includes entries including at least one corresponding to the previous revision data. The method creates a revised index that updates the corresponding entry with updated entry data representing the changed chunk of data. The method includes deleting, from the object store, each particular block of data stored on the object store that is no longer associated with an entry on any index stored on the object store.

  • Publication number: 20240183551
Abstract: In one aspect, a remotely resettable blast damper for use with an air duct or wall opening is provided. The blast damper includes a blade configured to be mounted at a duct and movable between an open position and a closed position where the blade is configured to move to the closed position responsive to a blast wave. The blast damper includes a retention mechanism configured to maintain the blade in the closed position when the blade moves to the closed position. The blast damper further includes a release mechanism remote from the retention mechanism and operably coupled to the retention mechanism. Actuation of the release mechanism of the blast damper disengages the retention mechanism enabling the blade to return to the open position.

  • Patent number: 11935193
Abstract: Various techniques associated with automatic mesh generation are disclosed. One or more center curves of an outline of an object or figure are first determined. Next, for each of a plurality of points of each of the one or more center curves, a pair of rays is cast from a center curve in opposite directions, wherein the rays collide with opposite sides of the outline, and a collision pair is generated that comprises a line connecting collision points of the pair of rays on opposite sides of the outline. A mesh model of the object or figure is generated by mapping each of a set of collision pairs to polygons used to define the mesh model.

  • Publication number: 20240034547
Abstract: A pouring attachment device for a disposable package of nitrogenated beverage, e.g. an aluminium can P, that achieves a desirable foam head when the beverage is poured into a glass. The attachment comprises a main body or housing (11), an ultrasonic wave generator (27) and a means to couple the device to the package, such as a rim seal (2)0. A flow channel has a contoured inlet (26) configured for communicating beverage from the package to an outlet (21), via a resonance chamber (28), and is particularly configured for minimising turbulence.

  • Publication number: 20240000374
Abstract: A skin inspection device for identifying abnormalities is described. The device comprises a transparent panel having an inspection area; an array of thermochromic liquid crystal (TLC) formations provided on the transparent panel which are operable to change colour in response to a change of temperature; one or more image capture devices having a wide angle lens for capturing an image of the TLC formations and an area of skin of a target located in the inspection area; at least some of the TLC formations have a warped shape while other TLC formations have a non-warped shape; wherein the warped shaped TLC formations and the non-warped TLC formations define a pattern such that when viewed through the wide angle lens both the warped shaped TLC formations and the non-warped TLC formations appear non-warped.

  • Patent number: 11850030
Abstract: Bending stresses experienced by a pressure sensor mounted to a fractional flow reserve catheter when tracking the catheter through the vasculature creates a distortion of the sensor resulting in an incorrect pressure reading or bend error. In order to isolate the sensor from bending stresses, the sensor is mounted with one end coupled to the distal end of the shaft while the other end of the sensor is not coupled to the catheter so that a portion of the sensor is spaced apart from the distal end of the shaft.

  • Publication number: 20230260443
Abstract: Two-dimensional compositing that preserves the curvatures of non-flat surfaces is disclosed. In some embodiments, a mapping is associated with a two-dimensional rendering that maps a potentially variable portion of the two-dimensional rendering to a canvas. The mapping is generated from a three-dimensional model of the potentially variable portion of the two-dimensional rendering. The potentially variable portion of the two-dimensional rendering is dynamically modified according to the mapping to reflect content comprising the canvas or edits received with respect to the canvas.

  • Patent number: 11714724
Abstract: Systems and methods for managing incremental data backups on an object store. A computing device receives first data representing a changed chunk of data in a revision of a data volume on a storage device, the changed chunk includes data having changes from previous data of a previous revision. The computing device creates a block of data representing a copy of the changed chunk on the object store, the object store also includes a previous revision block representing previous revision data. The computing device determines a previous index stored on the object store corresponding to the previous revision, which includes entries including at least one corresponding to the previous revision block. The computing device creates a copy of at least one previous index from the object store, and a revised index that updates the corresponding entry with updated entry data representing the change block.

  • Patent number: 11701012
Abstract: A catheter, such as a fractional flow reserve catheter, includes an elongate shaft having a pressure sensing wire extending to the distal portion of the elongate shaft. The wire has a pressure sensor mounted on the distal end for measuring a pressure of a fluid within lumen of vessel. The pressure sensor wire is disposed within a pocket formed adjacent to the pressure sensor thereby minimizing the profile of the catheter. Bending stresses experienced by a pressure sensor mounted to a fractional flow reserve catheter when tracking the catheter through the vasculature creates a distortion of the sensor resulting in an incorrect pressure reading or bend error. In order to isolate the sensor from bending stresses, the sensor is spaced apart from the pressure sensor wire to allow the pressure sensor and the pressure sensor wire to move independently from one another.

  • Patent number: 11639731
Abstract: An improved fastener clip for a side curtain airbag is provided. The fastener clip includes a head portion and a body portion having first and second expansion legs. During installation, the fastener clip is manually inserted through aligned openings in an airbag attachment member and a body panel. When a bolt is threaded into the fastener clip, the head portion engages an upper surface of the airbag attachment member and the expansion legs flex laterally outward and engage an underside of the body panel. Spring tabs extend from the head portion and absorb vibrations to provide a secure attachment over the life of the fastener clip.

  • Patent number: 11490914
Abstract: A dual operation grasping forceps for use with an endoscope includes an elongated tube having a control mechanism along a first end, and a grasping section along a second end. The grasping section includes a plurality of resilient wire members each having a loop along a distal end. A cable is positioned through the loops to form a circular or triangular shape snare. The grasping members are independently connected to the control mechanism by a first operating wire, and the cable is independently connected to the control mechanism by a second operating wire. The control mechanism selectively moves the grasping section between a retracted position, an extended position and a closed position.

  • Publication number: 20220289550
Abstract: An apparatus (10) and method for dispensing beverage from a single serve beverage package (b), e.g. an aluminium can B. In operation the sealed package (B) is located and held in a receiving enclosure (11) where, firstly, a dispense end of the package is opened by a piercing element (24) and, secondly, a gas is introduced under pressure at a second end through a hollow needle (19). Gas from a pump, into the internal volume of package (B), is then used to drive beverage from the beverage package, e.g. through a restrictor structure (27), at the dispense end and into a drinking vessel (G). The pump mode may then apply negative pressure to prevent flow and enable a pause in flow or at completion of delivery to a vessel (G).

  • Publication number: 20220265152
Abstract: A catheter, such as a fractional flow reserve catheter, includes an elongate shaft having a proximal end optionally coupled to a handle or luer fitting and a distal end having a distal opening. The pressure sensor wire is disposed within a pocket formed adjacent to the pressure sensor thereby minimizing the profile of the catheter.
