  • Patent number: 5038763
Abstract: This invention relates to a knee support device which enables a knee brace to track closely the movement of the tibia. In use, a complete knee brace comprises two of the knee support devices of this invention, one on each side of the leg. The knee support device comprises an upper and a lower elongated brace member releasably secured to a person's thigh and leg, respectively. Each of the two brace members includes pivot means and gear means, such that the gear means of the two brace members engage each other to rotate each brace member about the pivot means of the corresponding member. The upper and lower brace members on each side of the leg are connected by a link member connecting the pivot means of the two braces. The means for securing the brace members to the leg are placed such that the pivots are anterior to the knee joint, so that the rotation of the lower brace member tracks the tibia in flexion when the person and the brace members are viewed in profile.

  • Patent number: 5033119
Abstract: The wrist support glove of this invention is designed to enhance athletic performance. The glove comprises a gripping front portion covering the fingers and palm of the user, the gripping surface extending from the front of the fingers to the palm, and a back portion extending from the back of the fingers to the back of the hand. The glove also comprises a wrist portion comprised of one or more elongated flaps, each having a first and second end. The flaps are attached to the glove in such a manner as to provide a figure eight-type support to the hand and wrist. • Patent number: 4569658
Abstract: A tunnel oven 20 has a baking chamber divided by partitions 21 into a plurality of longitudinally extending zones 22. The oven heating system comprises upper and lower heater ducts 6a, 6b through which hot gases are passed, using a blower 24 for each zone 22. The intake of each blower 24 is within the associated zone 22 and is disposed adjacent the outlet end of an inlet duct 11 which leads into the lower part of the zone. An outlet 8 leads out of the upper part of each zone 22. The entry end 27 of the inlet duct 11 is open to atmosphere whereby fresh air is introduced into the duct. The exit end of the outlet duct 8 is connected to an exhaust fan 7 whereby gases are extracted from the zone 22 by way of the outlet duct 8 to an exhaust flue 18. Dampers 12 and 10 comprise first and second regulating means for controlling flow through the inlet and outlet ducts 11 and 8.
