  • Patent number: 12159243
Abstract: To simplify assisting a user in their day-to-day activities, a communication for performing an action may be sent to a user in the form of a query, where the query includes the most likely set of choices for the action arranged in a group of dichotomous (e.g., yes/no) or multiple choice answers. In this manner, a user may respond to the query by simply selecting one of the dichotomous or multiple choice answers. Historical logs of past actions, responses, queries, and so forth, may be used to predict future user actions or needs, and to formulate future queries for sending to the user. These techniques may be implemented, for example, through a remote coordination server or directly through a user's personal electronics device.

  • Publication number: 20240358335
Abstract: A mobile imaging system or mini C-arm with an increased range of motion is disclosed. The mini C-arm including a mobile base, a C-arm assembly, and an arm assembly for coupling the C-arm assembly and the mobile base. The arm assembly being coupled to the mobile base via a first joint assembly that enables the arm assembly to move relative to the mobile base about first and second axes of rotation. Thus, in use, the first joint assembly enables two degrees of motion—a first vertical pivoting or rotational movement and a second horizontal pivoting or rotational movement. The first joint assembly being coupled to the base via a horizontal axis of rotation that is located at a vertically fixed position so that the horizontal axis of rotation is positioned at a fixed height or distance from the base, and hence a fixed height or distance from the floor.

  • Patent number: 12126135
Abstract: A multipass laser amplifier includes a mirror, a mirror device, a gain crystal, and refractive or diffractive beam-steering element. The gain crystal is positioned on a longitudinal axis of the multipass laser amplifier between the mirror and the mirror device. The beam-steering element is positioned on the longitudinal axis between the gain crystal and the mirror device. The beam-steering element has no optical power and deflects a laser beam, by refraction or diffraction, for each of multiple passes of the laser beam between the first mirror and the mirror device, such that each pass goes through the gain crystal for amplification of the laser beam and goes through a different respective off-axis portion of the beam-steering element. The no optical power of the beam-steering element enables maintaining a large beam size in the gain crystal, thereby facilitating amplification to high average power.

  • Patent number: 12125636
Abstract: A magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flow control mechanism is described which substantially improves the existing processes in that smaller magnetic fields, requiring far less mass, are placed away from the forebody of the spacecraft to produce Lorentz forces that augment the lift and the drag forces for guidance, navigation, and control of the spacecraft.

  • Publication number: 20240294270
Abstract: A cover for the data ports disposed on opposite sides of a F-35 aircraft. The cover is macroscopically planar when not in use but flexible to conform to the curves on the sides of the F-35 airframe when the cover is attached. The cover is magnetically attached to three sides of a frame circumscribing air data port, but not attached on the forward side of the frame. This geometry provides for a covers which are symmetric and therefore usable with air data ports on both sides of the F-35 aircraft. The air data port cover does not have mechanical attachments or parts separable in use.
