  • Publication number: 20240107984
Abstract: Implementations described and claimed herein provide systems and methods for interactive fetching for one or more participants, such as pets. In one implementation, a projectile, such as a ball, is received in a receiver and transported through an opening into a feeder of a randomizer. One of a plurality of chutes is randomly selected using gravity, and the projectile is transported from the feeder into the selected chute. The chute generates a smooth roll along a ramp to a port, from which the projectile is ejected along an ejection path for the participant to retrieve.

  • Patent number: 11396154
Abstract: A method of making a modular wind turbine blade is described. The modular blade comprises first and second blade modules connected together by a scarf joint between tapered spar caps of the respective blade modules. According to the method, first and second blade modules are laid up in the same mould assembly. A separating layer is arranged between the layups of the first and second module in a joint region of the mould. The separating layer has a thickness corresponding to a required bond thickness in the scarf joint when the modules are bonded together.

  • Patent number: 10914214
Abstract: A particle filter for treating exhaust gases includes an SCR catalyst that, when in the presence of a reductant such as ammonia, promotes selective catalytic reduction of NOx; an active oxidation catalyst that promotes oxidation of hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide; and an oxygen storage catalyst that alternately stores and releases oxygen, enhances soot oxidation, and stores NOx at temperatures below optimal SCR functioning. The particle filter may be included in a system having an oxidation catalytic device (OCD) upstream of the particle filter, and optionally includes one or more SCR converters upstream and/or downstream of the particle filter, and/or an ammonia slip catalyst downstream of the particle filter. The system may further be adapted for operation under a high frequency injection fuel control with an OCD having substantial NOx storage material content, or an NSC for improving the efficiency tradeoffs between soot oxidation during filter regeneration and NOx reduction.

  • Patent number: 7898221
Abstract: In one embodiment, a consumer electronic device has a rechargeable battery, battery safety circuitry, and consumer electronic device circuitry with a controller. The rechargeable battery has a present temperature and a presently available effective capacity, and provides power to the electronic device via the battery safety circuitry. The controller determines whether the rechargeable battery might have, at a battery temperature greater than the present battery temperature, a potential effective capacity greater than the presently available effective capacity and, upon such determination, provides an indication to the user that additional effective capacity might become available if the battery temperature were raised.

Abstract: The invention provides novel TRIM polypeptides, proteins, and nucleic acid molecules. In addition to isolated, full-length TRIM proteins, the invention further provides isolated TRIM fusion proteins, antigenic peptides and anti-TRIM antibodies. The invention also provides TRIM nucleic acid molecules, recombinant expression vectors containing a nucleic acid molecule of the invention, host cells into which the expression vectors have been introduced and non-human transgenic animals in which an TRIM gene has been introduced or disrupted. The present invention also provides methods and compositions for the diagnosis and treatment of viral infection and/or replication, e.g., HIV infection. The invention further provides methods for identifying a compound capable of treating or preventing viral infection and/or replication, e.g., HIV infection and AIDS. In addition, the invention provides a method for treating a subject having a viral infection and/or replication, e.g.

  • Patent number: PP36664
Abstract: ‘BLOMG05’ is a new and distinct grapevine variety characterized by producing medium sized broadly ellipsoid red berries having very crisp texture with a with a strong fruity flavor combining characteristics of muscat and labrusca which ripens in mid-season. Berries are borne on medium size clusters which are loose and do not need gibberellin applications to thin clusters. Gibberellin is required to increase berry size.
