Patent number: 11599619Abstract: Provided is relative multifactor authentication for interactions between users and one or more entities. Relative multifactor authentication includes monitoring a set of attributes associated with a user during an interaction between the user and the entity. The set of attributes include at least two of a behavioral attribute, a health attribute, a geospatial attribute, and a device attribute. Relative multifactor authentication also include comparing respective parameters of attributes of the set of attributes with expected parameters and determining an authentication status based on the comparison and weighted values assigned to respective attributes of the set of attributes. The user is selectively authenticated to begin to continue the interaction based on the authentication status.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 2021Date of Patent: March 7, 2023Assignee: Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.Inventors: Michael T. Patent number: 11348102Abstract: Intelligent authentication is disclosed. Data associated with a request for resource access by a user is compared to values of factors related to previous resource access by the user. A score is computed based on a result of the compare. Here, the score represents a degree of likelihood the user is the user associated with the previous resource access. An authentication level can then be determined based on the score, and authentication of the user triggered at the authentication level. In one instance, the authentication can be triggered to re-authenticate a user after a user session times out.Type: GrantFiled: May 1, 2020Date of Patent: May 31, 2022Assignee: Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.Inventors: Darrell Lee Suen, Sridhar Kotamraju, Christopher P. Clausen, Melody Su-Shin Kao, Christina Z. Ongpin, Kevin R. Cieslak
