  • Patent number: 9916633
Abstract: Techniques for managing services provided on behalf of a user are provided. A user profile generator accesses a first user profile, applies modifications to the first user profile, and saves the modifications as a second user profile, without modifying the first user profile, such that the first user profile remains saved without modifications. In response to a second user profile invocation input indicating that the second user profile should be invoked, a second provision of services associated with the second user profile are invoked in place of a first provision of services related to the first user profile. The first provision of services related to the first user profile are re-invoked when a determination is made that the second user profile should no longer be invoked.

  • Patent number: 9400976
Abstract: A system, method and computer-usable medium are disclosed for managing services provided on behalf of a user through the invocation of a user profile. A service provision management system comprises a user profile registry, which further comprises a plurality of user profiles, each of which is associated with a user. A first user profile is compared to a second user profile within a user interface and recommended modifications to the first user profile are generated in response to user input. The user makes modifications to user information and service provider information contained in the first user profile. Upon invocation of the user profile, service provider instructions, which comprise service execution information, are issued to a service provider to provide a service on behalf of said user.

  • Patent number: 8590787
Abstract: Systems and methods for performing a transaction with a headless point-of-sale or automated teller machine (ATM) device are disclosed. A card having a display and radio frequency (RF) communications module may be authenticated with a headless point-of-sale device using a short-range RF communications link. Transaction information may be provided to the display of the card from the headless point-of-sale device. A customer may confirm the transaction at the card using a touch-sensitive input area. The headless point-of-sale device may then provide the transaction information to a transaction processor for processing and verification. Where the headless device is a headless ATM, the card may be authenticated to the ATM and transaction information may be entered and displayed on the card. A cardholder may authenticate with the ATM by entering, e.g., a PIN number and funds may be dispensed to the cardholder upon verification of the PIN.
