  • Patent number: 8182399
Abstract: A foldable treadmill comprising a base bracket, a deck coupled to the base bracket for moving between a use position and a stored position, a support post extending upwardly and movably coupled to the deck, and a handle pivotally connected to the support post. A handle linkage can be coupled to the handle, and a lifting device can be coupled between the base bracket and the handle linkage for moving the handle when the deck is being moved. In one embodiment, the lifting device includes a support rod coupled to the support post and a deck rod coupled between the base bracket and the support rod. In this embodiment, the support rod has a first portion slidably coupled to the deck and another portion coupled to the handle linkage. The treadmill can further include a control panel movably coupled to the top portion of the support post. Preferably, a link bar is coupled between the control panel and the handle for moving the control panel when the deck is being moved.

  • Patent number: 7058315
Abstract: A repetitive burst-mode input signal that has a dark time portion, a preamble portion, and a payload portion is converted into a limited output signal in accordance with a decision threshold level, which is controlled by selectively coupling an averaged value of the burst-mode data amplitude to the decision threshold level. The timing sequence for selectively coupling the averaged signal value is controlled such that the average value of the burst-mode signal acquired during the preamble portion of the burst-mode signal is applied to the decision threshold level during substantially all of the payload portion. The control circuit may incorporate a phase-locked loop, which locks onto the repetitive dark time frequency and in response synthesizes a switchable track enable signal that controls the timing sequence of the decision threshold level. The phase-locked loop can employ all-digital, analog, and/or hybrid digital/analog circuitry.

  • Patent number: 4967145
Abstract: An active current transformer has a primary conductor in which a current is to be measured and a secondary conductor in which a measuring current is generated in use. A feedback sensor provides an induced voltage and an amplifier receives a signal induced in the feedback sensor and generates the measuring current in the secondary conductor. The primary and secondary conductors are located in first and second magnetic circuits respectively, the first and second circuits having a common path over at least a part of their respective lengths. The feedback sensor is disposed on the common path of the first and second magnetic circuits so that, in use, the magnetic flux in the second path can be made substantially equal to that in the first path by operation of the amplifier in response to the voltage in the feedback sensor.
