  • Patent number: 12118201
Abstract: An electronic device with a display device displays a user interface that includes content. The electronic device, while displaying the user interface that includes content, detects a first input. The electronic device, in response to detecting the first input, displays an annotation layer over the displayed content. At least a portion of the content is visible through the annotation layer. The electronic device, while displaying the annotation layer, displays a set of markup tools, including a plurality of tools for adding marks to the annotation layer. The electronic device detects a second input selecting a first markup tool of the set of markup tools. The electronic device adds one or more marks on the annotation layer in accordance with one or more additional inputs using the selected first markup tool.

  • Patent number: 12105940
Abstract: A computer system displays a first version of a first user interface that includes first user interface objects displayed concurrently with a first background. The first user interface objects include content from a first plurality of applications. In response to detecting a first input, when the first input includes movement in a first direction, the system replaces display of the first version of the first user interface with a second user interface that includes representations of a second plurality of applications. When the first input includes second movement in a second direction, the system replaces display of the first version of the first user interface with display of a second version of the first user interface that includes second user interface objects displayed with a second background. The second user interface objects correspond to a third plurality of applications and include content from the third plurality of applications.

  • Publication number: 20240281134
Abstract: An electronic device concurrently displays a first user interface of first software and status information for an application that is different from the first software. The status information includes content of the application. As a state of the application changes, the device updates the content of the application displayed in the status information. In response to detecting an input corresponding to a request to display a different, second user interface of different, second software, while concurrently displaying the first user interface and a respective user interface object that includes the status information, the device ceases to display the first user interface and the respective user interface object, and displays the second user interface including content of the application, including, as the state of the application changes, updating the content of the application displayed in the second user interface, which includes information that is different from the status information.

  • Publication number: 20240211117
Abstract: At a display of a computer system, a user interface is displayed that includes a placement location configured to spatially accommodate a respective user interface object of a plurality of user interface objects corresponding to different applications. In response to detecting the input that is directed to the placement location and in accordance with a determination that the input meets first criteria, including a duration criterion, one or more selectable options associated with the first user interface object corresponding to the first application are displayed. In response to detecting the input and in accordance with a determination that the input meets second criteria, wherein the second criteria requires that the input includes movement in a first direction, display of the first user interface object is replaced with display of the second user interface object from the plurality of user interface objects associated with the placement location.

  • Patent number: 11977726
Abstract: An electronic device with a display, a touch-sensitive surface, and one or more sensors that detect intensities of contacts on the touch-sensitive surface displays, on the display, a user interface. While displaying the user interface, the electronic device detects an input that includes a contact on the touch-sensitive surface. In response to detecting the input while displaying the user interface, and while continuing to detect the input on the touch-sensitive surface: If an intensity of the contact satisfies an activation intensity threshold, the electronic device performs a first operation associated with the activation intensity threshold. The activation intensity threshold is determined based on whether or not prior inputs by the user on the touch-sensitive surface exceed a respective intensity threshold. If an intensity of the contact does not satisfy an activation intensity threshold, the electronic device forgoes performing the first operation associated with the activation intensity threshold.

  • Publication number: 20240143162
Abstract: An electronic device responds to a user input that includes a movement detected while displaying a user interface object at a first position relative to a first user interface of a first application. If the user input is directed to a location that corresponds to the first user interface object at a start of the movement, the electronic device moves a respective representation of the first user interface in accordance with the movement, relative to a background located behind the first user interface and remaining visible during the movement. If the user input is directed to a portion of the first user interface that is away from the location that corresponds the first user interface object, at the start of the movement, the electronic device performs an operation within the first user interface without moving the respective representation of the first user interface relative to the background.

  • Publication number: 20240143147
Abstract: A computer system displays a first user interface that includes respective selectable representations of a plurality of categories for media items associated with the computer system, including at least a first selectable representation of a first category and a second representation of a second category. While displaying the first user interface for configuring the system user interface, the computer system detects a first input selecting a set of one or more of the plurality of categories. After the set of one or more of the plurality of categories were selected by the first input, the computer system displays the system user interface, wherein displaying the system user interface includes, over time displaying the system user interface with a plurality of versions of the first background that respectively include media items selected from media items in respective categories in the set of one or more of the plurality of categories.

  • Publication number: 20240102811
Abstract: A first input to a mobile device indicates a first navigation destination at a first level of specificity. The mobile device initiates navigation towards a first location corresponding to the first navigation destination. While navigation towards the first location corresponding to the first navigation destination is ongoing and before reaching the first location, in accordance with a determination that one or more first criteria are satisfied, the mobile device prompts for an input for determination a second location corresponding to a second navigation destination with a second level of specificity, the second level of specificity more specific than the first level of specificity. The mobile device receives a second input in response to the prompt. In accordance with a determination that the second input satisfies one or more second criteria, the mobile device initiates navigation towards the second location corresponding to the second navigation destination.
