  • Patent number: 5871350
Abstract: A lingual orthodontic assembly for developing a patient's arch is disclosed, and component parts thereof which may have use in other treatment applications. One of the lingual arch developers disclosed uses magnets to have an effect on the mesial advancement of the lingual arch. The lingual arch of this developer may be interconnected with the patient by a connector which includes at least one and preferably two vertical posts which are insertable into corresponding vertical tubes fixed to a band on a patient's tooth. At least one generally horizontal tube is interconnected with these posts. In one embodiment this tube is gingivally disposed to, for instance, slidably interface with a lingual arch. This connector may be used as an interface between the patient and other orthodontic appliances as well. For instance, the noted tube on the connector may be generally gingivally disposed to, for instance, interface with a palatal expander.

  • Patent number: 5165255
Abstract: To insure a continuous supply of ice pieces to a drink dispensing machine having an upwardly open ice piece dispensing compartment, a storage bin is provided in vertical alignment with the ice piece compartment and an ice making machine is mounted on top of the storage bin. A discharge auger is mounted in a discharge opening in the bottom of the ice piece storage bin and is energized by switch means responsive to the level of ice pieces in the ice dispensing compartment.

  • Patent number: 4446915
Abstract: Tube circuits for heat exchangers which provide same-end inlet and outlet connections are disclosed, in which each circuit includes conduits of two types. In a preferred embodiment, the first type conduit has two tubes and is generally U-shaped, and the second type conduit has four tubes. The inlets for each conduit are disposed adjacent each other in the assembled heat exchanger, as are the outlets for the conduits. To equalize flow and pressure drop a turbulence promoting device can be disposed in the U-shaped conduit. The circuits can be used for providing same-end connections on coils previously available only in opposite end connection configurations, such as for example, three-row full-circuited and six-row double circuited coils.
