Patent number: 11960972Abstract: In a general aspect, input data for a computer process are preprocessed by a preprocessor unit that includes a quantum processor. In some aspects, a preprocessor unit obtains input data for a computer process that is configured to run on a computer processing unit. Randomized parameter values are computed for variable parameters of a quantum logic circuit based on the input data. A classical processor in the preprocessor unit computes the randomized parameter values from the input data and a set of random numbers. A quantum processor in the preprocessor unit produces quantum processor output data by executing the quantum logic circuit having the randomized parameter values assigned to the variable parameters. Preprocessed data generated based on the quantum processor output data are then provided as the input for the computer process configured to run on the computer processing unit.Type: GrantFiled: January 6, 2023Date of Patent: April 16, 2024Assignee: Rigetti & Co, LLCInventors: Johannes Sebastian Otterbach, Christopher Mogan Wilson, Marcus Palmer da Silva, Nikolas Anton Tezak, Gavin Earl Crooks

Publication number: 20200258361Abstract: A tag or label incorporating embedded trigger technology, such as RFID, QR codes, or barcodes is disclosed to effectively integrate RFID or a trigger directly into the garment. Typically, the embedded technology is embedded via a digital manufacturing process, and the labels and tags enable a data connection via the embedded triggers and a unique identifier corresponding to the embedded triggers. Thus, once the trigger technology is enabled via scanning, visual recognition, UHF/NFC RFID, etc., data items in the data management platform are enabled. Specifically, the data items within the data management platform include sustainability, consumer engagement, authentication/brand protection, merchandising/marketing, and data management and can be leveraged to drive an interactive consumer experience.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 27, 2020Publication date: August 13, 2020Inventors: Julie VARGAS, Kimberly Kae SCHNEIDER, Christopher PALMER, Paul A. Patent number: 9822763Abstract: A wind turbine has a Lidar device to sense wind conditions upstream of the wind turbine. Wind speed signals from the wind turbine are processed to detect an extreme operating gust. The detection is performed by differentiating the axial wind velocity and filtering for a period of time. On detection of extreme operating gust the system controller takes necessary evasive action which may include shutting down the turbine or varying the blade pitch angle.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 2012Date of Patent: November 21, 2017Assignee: VESTAS WIND SYSTEMS A/SInventors: Chris Spruce, Christopher Palmer, Robert Bowyer
