  • Publication number: 20220218588
Abstract: A method and system or kit is provided, where makeup containing an alkane and a styrenic block copolymer can be easily removed if a separate makeup-removing composition that includes an alkane and a low viscosity dimethicone (having a viscosity of 60,000 cst or less) is applied. The dimethicone in this viscosity range causes the styrenic block copolymer to gel. After allowing a short period of time for the gelling to occur, the gelled copolymer and the remainder of the makeup can then be readily removed.

  • Publication number: 20220192343
Abstract: A UV nail gel and clear bottle system and method for protecting the ultraviolet (UV) nail gel formulation from curing or gelling while providing visibility of the UV nail gel formula. The system includes one or more layer of a transparent UV blocking treatment located on an exterior surface of the clear bottle comprising one or more UV absorber having an intramolecular hydrogen bond and absorption wavelengths ranging from 100 nanometers to 380 nanometers, paired with a UV nail gel formula comprising a lower curing photoinitiator having an absorption wavelength?330 nm. The one or more layer of the transparent UV blocking treatment and UV nail gel formula with the lower curing photoinitiator protects the UV nail gel formulation from curing or gelling while providing visibility of the UV nail gel formula.

  • Publication number: 20220096340
Abstract: A method and mascara capable of providing semi-permanent curl to eyelashes is provided. The method involves applying a mascara that is substantially free of waxes and oxidizers to an eyelash, such as a magnetic eyelash. The mascara contains greater than 10% and less than 50% by weight of at least one ferromagnetic pigment, and between 9% and 18% solids content of a contractile polymer. After application, a magnet is temporarily held or moved over the eyelash in the direction of curl. Preferably the curling is accomplished without using a brush or eyelash tool.
