    Abstract: Systems and methods are configured to match a patient to a clinical trial. A method includes receiving text-based criteria for the clinical trial, including a molecular marker. Additionally, the method includes associating at least a portion of the text-based criteria to one or more pre-defined data fields containing molecular marker information. The method further includes comparing a molecular marker of the patient to the one or more pre-defined data fields, and generating a report for a provider. The report is based on the comparison and includes a match indication of the patient to the clinical trial.
