  • Patent number: 10070120
Abstract: Disclosed are a system, apparatus, and method for calibrating an optical see-through display (OSD). The OSD virtual display size is estimated as a starting point for determining an eye to camera distance. In response to determining the eye to camera distance and comparing the result with a measured eye to camera distance an updated display size may be determined. A user's head movement may be tracked in order to determine when a visual alignment based calibration routine is complete. When a user is not viewing a calibration target a request is sent to prompt the user to realign the OSD. When a user is still after a period of alignment with the OSD, the alignment and calibration procedure may be assumed as complete. A buffer may receive calibration values from before and after the calibration procedure is complete and the values may be averaged or filtered for accuracy.

  • Publication number: 20150193980
Abstract: Two-dimensional or three-dimensional augmented reality (AR) markers are provided for alignment with a target object in calibrating an optical see-through display, such as a head-mounted display (HMD), in an AR system. A calibrated projection matrix for calibration of the optical see-through display is computed based upon a user's repeated alignments of the AR markers with the target object.

  • Publication number: 20140282224
Abstract: Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for implementation of a scrolling gesture are disclosed. In some embodiments, a control object is detected by a detection device, and movement of content on a display is matched to movement of the control object. In further embodiments, a speed of the control object is detected, and a free scrolling mode is entered when the speed exceeds a speed threshold.

  • Patent number: 7146491
Abstract: A data processing apparatus and method for generating constant values is provided. The data processing apparatus comprises a data processing unit operable in response to an instruction to perform a data processing operation on one or more data values. Shift logic is operable to selectively apply a shift operation to data to produce one of the data values for the data processing operation. Further, a plurality of registers are provided for storing data. The instruction has a register specifier field for identifying a register and a shift specifier field for specifying a shift to be applied to that register's data in order to produce one of the data values for the data processing operation.
