Patent number: 11188852Abstract: Systems and methods for creating a recommendation engine of a process modeling server and automatically comparing tickets by the recommendation engine are disclosed. The recommendation engine may be generated by digitizing a seat map of a venue that characterizes one or more interrelationships between the seats. After creation, the process modeling server receives a notification that a ticket holder's ticket to an event taking place at a venue has been cancelled or become otherwise unavailable. The process modeling server compares one or more attributes of the now-unavailable ticket to one or more rules maintained by a recommendation engine of the process modeling server. The recommendation engine generates one or more substitute ticket alternatives based on the comparison for selection. The recommendation engine may refine the one or more rules over time based on actual customer selection.Type: GrantFiled: March 26, 2020Date of Patent: November 30, 2021Assignee: StubHub, Inc.Inventors: Sandy Ngo, Adriane McFetridge, Randolph Minde, Christopher Pierce, James Suller, Wagner Gomez

Patent number: 8560657Abstract: The present invention teaches methods and systems for monitoring and controlling bandwidth usage between an internal local area network and an external network. By providing controls from inside the external network connectivity point, greater detail in bandwidth control is possible. This in turn leads to less restrictive bandwidth restricting algorithms. Bandwidth restricting algorithms include various bandwidth limiting techniques. One such technique uses prioritized data transfer limits applied on an application, process or network interface basis. Another technique uses a configurable weighting factor for real-time prioritization of data traffic. Other techniques incorporate quality of service or model predictive control based bandwidth limiting.Type: GrantFiled: April 6, 2009Date of Patent: October 15, 2013Assignee: Time Warner Cable Enterprises LLCInventor: Christopher Pierce Williams

The inner vessel contains a hydrogen storage material, such as a metal hydride. In one embodiment the inner vessel is mechanically isolated from the outer vessel. The separation between the outer and inner vessel provides a peripheral volume between each vessel. The peripheral volume about the inner compartment may be fluidly isolated from the inner compartment. The hydrogen storage unit further includes a fluid pressure device in communication with the peripheral volume; and a controller for controlling the fluid pressure device during desorption and absorption.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 23, 2011Publication date: December 13, 2012Applicant: Hydrexia Pty LtdInventors: Matthew Campbell Greaves, Benjamin David Guymer, Jordan Christopher Pierce

Patent number: 7895665Abstract: The detection of devices with duplicate media access controller (MAC) addresses in a cable network. A cable network device (CND) having a MAC address is connected by the cable network to a cable modem termination system (CMTS) having a gateway interface address. A centralized storage of historical cable modem MAC address/giaddr tuple data is used to identify CNDs that report duplicate MAC addresses. The cable network tracks the CND MAC address/giaddr tuple data of all CND requests that it receives and stores the MAC address/giaddr tuple data into a datastore (such as a database). When a CND seeks to access the network, the cable network looks into the datastore to determine whether the CND MAC address of the CND has previously been stored with a different associated giaddr, which would imply that there are multiple CNDs attached to different CMTSs where the CNDs share the same MAC address. If such duplication is detected, an appropriate remedial response is taken.Type: GrantFiled: November 7, 2008Date of Patent: February 22, 2011Assignee: Time Warner Cable, a division of Time Warner Entertainment Company, L.P.Inventors: Kenneth Gould, Christopher Pierce Williams
