Publication number: 20250038553Abstract: A charging box has a housing with first and second ends, charging bays, a cover, and a lock assembly. The charging bays are between the first end and the second end. Each of the charging bays removably receives a battery pack in an insertion direction. The cover pivots on the housing nearer to the second end than to the first end. The cover moves between an open position and a closed position. The lock assembly includes a staple, a slot in the cover, a protrusion coupled to the housing adjacent the staple, and a tether coupled to the housing. The staple is nearer to the first end than to the second end. The staple receives a padlock. The slot receives the staple therethrough. The tether has a distal end with a loop. The loop is receivable about the protrusion.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 23, 2022Publication date: January 30, 2025Inventors: Isabel M. Lloyd, Christopher S. Patent number: 12076162Abstract: System and method for detecting and monitoring edema in a patient are described. Initially, a patient's tissue is irradiated with light by a light source. A detector collects reflected light from the patient's tissue and generates data associated with the reflected light. A processing device receives the data and reflected light and calculates an intensity of the reflected light. The processing device then determined, based upon the intensity of the reflected light, whether the patient's tissue exhibits any symptoms of edema. Additionally, the processing device can compare a current intensity of the reflected light against historic information to monitor for any changes in a patient's edema level or severity.Type: GrantFiled: July 6, 2017Date of Patent: September 3, 2024Assignee: CHEMIMAGE CORPORATIONInventors: Shona Stewart, J. Christopher Post, Patrick Treado, Jeffrey Cohen

Publication number: 20230314621Abstract: Disclosed is a technique that can provide one or more countermeasures against spoofers. An antenna, movable in space, is used to receive space vehicle (SV) signals that appear to be associated with a plurality of space vehicles of a global navigation satellite system (GNSS). SV signals are identified that have similar signal power and/or phase signatures that respectively appear to be associated with at least a first space vehicle and a second space vehicle of the GNSS. An existence of a spoofer is identified based at least in part on the identification of SV signals that have similar signal power and/or phase signatures that respectively appear to be associated with at least the first space vehicle and the second space vehicle of the GNSS.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 7, 2023Publication date: October 5, 2023Inventors: Ivan L. Johnston, Gilberto Isaac Sada, Steven B. Alexander, Randall Paul Jaffe, David Christopher Post, Nathan Douglas Haveman

Patent number: 11034020Abstract: The system described herein can reduce network bandwidth usage when prioritizing data from an autonomous robotic system. The autonomous robotic system can identify predetermined events in data stream and extract portions of the data streams that include the events. The system can reduce network bandwidth usage by prioritizing transmission of only the extracted portions of the data streams rather than the full, raw data streams.Type: GrantFiled: November 26, 2018Date of Patent: June 15, 2021Assignee: RavenOPS, Inc.Inventors: Randall Shults, Christopher Post, Joshua Ouellette, Delaney Gillilan, Thomas Balough, Sasha Pozdnyakova

Publication number: 20200245930Abstract: Systems and methods of detecting and monitoring edema in a subject are described. The systems and methods include light sources, image detectors, filters, and processors that determine whether a subject has edema and the degree of severity. In some embodiments, the processor fuses data from more than one imaging modality.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 4, 2020Publication date: August 6, 2020Inventors: Jeffrey K. COHEN, J. Christopher POST, Shona STEWART, Patrick J. TREADO, Heather GOMER, Aaron SMITH

Patent number: 9162910Abstract: A fluid treatment system includes a fluid source, at least one anaerobic reactor vessel, and at least one aerobic reactor vessel. The anaerobic reactor vessel contains retaining a set of retaining structures that are at least partially coated with an anaerobic biofilm. The aerobic reactor vessel contains an aerobic biofilm. When fluid from the fluid source is exposed to the anaerobic biofilm, the anaerobic biofilm removes one or more metal substances from the fluid. When the fluid is exposed to the aerobic biofilm, the aerobic biofilm may cause organic materials in the fluid to metabolize. The system also may include a precipitation reactor that separates divalent metals from the fluid, a settling facility that forms a slurry comprising separated metals, and a neutralization reactor that modifies the fluid to a substantially neutral pH.Type: GrantFiled: July 11, 2012Date of Patent: October 20, 2015Assignee: ALLEGHENY-SINGER RESEARCH INSTITUTEInventors: James Christopher Post, Randy Hiebert, Robert Hyatt

Patent number: 8480902Abstract: A method of prevention of acid rock drainage excludes oxygen from waste rocks that contain ferrous sulfides by building an oxygen bio-barrier over exposed surfaces of the waste rock. The bio-barrier may be formed by applying a slurry to the rock. The slurry may contain several components such as microbial material, one or more nutrients, water or another fluid, and optionally water-absorbent material. The microbial material may include bacteria, algae, fungi or a combination thereof. Additionally, the slurry may contain one or more acid-neutralizing compounds, one or more cellulose-containing substances, and one or more UV protecting agents.Type: GrantFiled: July 2, 2010Date of Patent: July 9, 2013Assignee: Allegheny-Singer Research InstituteInventors: James Christopher Post, Garth David Ehrlich, John William Costerton
