  • Patent number: 7832593
Abstract: In a liquid dispensing system having a dispensing module and a gun manifold, the gun manifold includes a shelf portion that extends outwardly from its front face and the dispensing module includes a correspondingly shaped aperture configured to engage the shelf portion so that the dispensing module rests, or hangs, on the gun manifold without being held into place. From this position, the module can be easily and readily attached to the manifold. The shelf and aperture have complementary shapes and can be keyed so as to require the mating of the manifold and module in only one orientation. Additionally, an adaptor can be provided between the module and manifold so that smooth face manifolds and modules can still be coupled to corresponding manifolds and modules having shelves or apertures.

  • Publication number: 20100147877
Abstract: Dispensers with replaceable actuators and related methods. A representative dispenser includes a sealed fluid chamber with a fluid inlet and a valve seat, a valve member configured to be reciprocally moveable relative to the valve seat, and an actuator interface. The dispenser includes first and second actuators configured to be coupled with the actuator interface for reciprocally moving the valve member. The first actuator is configured to operate by a different motive force than the second actuator. The first actuator can be removed and replaced with the second actuator. The methods involve the ability to replace the first actuator with a second actuator.

  • Patent number: 7694855
Abstract: A dispenser includes an actuating section having a first moveable member and a hydraulic section coupled with the actuating section and having a second moveable member. The hydraulic section is adapted to dispense a liquid from an outlet therein and the actuating section is adapted to control dispensing of the liquid. An actuator assembly operatively couples the first moveable member with the second moveable such that the first moveable member is operative to move the second moveable member between open and closed positions for respectively starting and stopping flow of liquid from the outlet. The actuator assembly may include a pivoting lever arm having a first end operatively coupled with the first moveable member, a second end operatively coupled with the second moveable member and defining a fixed pivot point therebetween.

  • Patent number: 6123268
Abstract: A nozzle for dispensing adhesive or glue at one of a plurality of selected angles. The nozzle is particularly adapted for use with an adhesive dispenser. The nozzle includes a swivel nozzle member with a bore and a swivel adjustment surface. A seal member has a throughhole and a swivel adjustment surface and the throughhole is in fluid communication with the liquid discharge passage of the dispenser body. A retaining member having locked and unlocked positions holds the swivel adjustment surface of the seal member against the swivel adjustment surface of the swivel nozzle member. The swivel nozzle member is movable for selective adjustment when the retaining member is in the unlocked position to orient the bore of the swivel nozzle member in multiple transverse angles relative to the throughhole. Similarly, the swivel nozzle member is fixed against the selective adjustment when the retaining member is in the locked position.

  • Patent number: 5875922
Abstract: An electromagnetic dispenser for dispensing is provided with a housing for guiding and concentrating the outer axial lines of flux in specific regions and then passing them through the pole and plunger. Concentrating the lines of flux in such regions provide for a more compact dispenser, thereby allowing for smaller centerline-to-centerline spacings.
