Publication number: 20220351056Abstract: A computer implemented method generating query results is provided. The method includes generating by a computer processor, a training model through artificial intelligence. The training model may be based on annotated data. A knowledge base for a subject matter may be generated based on the training model. The knowledge base may be based on content from document sources related to the subject matter. A natural language query input from a user may be received. An intent and requirements for satisfying the intent may be inferred by the computer processor. The knowledge base may be referenced to extract information related to the intent and requirements, from documents in the knowledge base. Relationships between the extracted information and the requirements may be correlated from the documents in the knowledge base. In addition, query results may be displayed to the user. The query results are based on the correlated relationships.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 30, 2021Publication date: November 3, 2022Inventors: Maira G. de Bayser, Geeth Ranmal de Mel, Mathias B. Patent number: 10542108Abstract: A method and federated publish/subscribe system for data transfer in the federated publish/subscribe system. The federated publish/subscribe system includes a processor, a first message broker, and a second message broker. The second message broker transmits, via the processor, a message A to a first subscribing application and a message (A+?) to a second subscribing application. The message (A+?) differs from the message A by changes ?. The first subscribing application and the second subscribing application are different subscribing applications. Prior to the transmitting by the second message broker, the second message broker receives, from the first message broker via the processor, either (i) a message (A, ?) comprising the message A and the changes ? or (ii) the message A and a message ? comprising the changes ?.Type: GrantFiled: August 6, 2014Date of Patent: January 21, 2020Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Christopher R. Patent number: 9882994Abstract: Mechanisms are provided for generating a composite service. A request to generate the composite service is received that identifies a geospatial region of interest for the composite service. One or more types of components needed to generate the composite service are determined and, for each component of a plurality of components of the one or more types of components, a corresponding spatial coverage characteristic is determined. A subset of components, from the plurality of components, is selected based on the spatial coverage characteristics of the plurality of components and the geospatial region of interest. The composite service is then generated based on the selected subset of components from the plurality of components.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 2017Date of Patent: January 30, 2018Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Chatschik Bisdikian, Christopher R. Gibson, Dominic P. Harries, Syed Y. Shah, Petros Zerfos

Patent number: 8386515Abstract: Methods and systems are provided, for persistent querying in a federated database system. A federated database system has a plurality of connectable database management system nodes, each database node having at least one database. Persistent querying includes: receiving a query at a first database node and propagating the query from the first database node to other database nodes in the federated database system. A responding database node satisfying the query: obtains a query results set; defines a topic identifier for the query; and publishes subsequent messages relating to the topic identifier when data updates are available. The first database node receives query results sets from one or more responding nodes and the first database node subscribes to topic identifiers for publications of subsequent messages from the responding database nodes. Subsequent messages are published relating to the query along the connection through which the query is returned.Type: GrantFiled: November 23, 2010Date of Patent: February 26, 2013Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Graham Bent, Patrick Dantressangle, Christopher R. Gibson, David R. Vyvyan
