  • Patent number: 11924269
Abstract: Various example implementations are directed to circuits, apparatuses, and methods for providing virtual computing services. One example involves a set of computing servers communicatively coupled to the data storage device. The set of computer servers provide a respective virtual data center for each of a plurality of accounts, and the respective virtual data center for each account provides data-communications services specified in a respective settings file for the account. The virtual data center for at least one of the accounts includes a set of virtual desktops and a set of Cloud-based servers.

  • Patent number: 11306840
Abstract: A switched nozzle valve (SNV) for gas flow regulation includes a nozzle and a valve element. The nozzle includes an orifice with a fixed cross-section and a converging section converging towards the orifice for achieving sonic velocity of the gas in the orifice. The valve element is movable between a fully closed position seated on the nozzle at a valve seat and a fully open position spaced from the valve seat. The SNV further includes a control for controlling an operator for switching the valve element between the fully open and fully closed positions at a switching frequency by using a pulse-width-modulation (PWM) signal to regulate a time-averaged flow of the gas.

  • Patent number: 5103859
Abstract: A valve for use in the float chamber of a boiling water unit. The valve consists of a body of circular horizontal cross section having a vertical outer wall. The inner portion of the valve body includes a central circular cut-out seat portion to accommodate a cylindrical seal, the wall of the valve seat between the cut-out portion and the outer wall being sloped in the manner of the surface of the frustrum of a cone, the seat being positioned below a nozzle so that when the nozzle is spaced from the valve body, flow from the nozzle contacts the valve body and is deflected along said sloped outer wall to activate a temperature sensor.

  • Patent number: 5099825
Abstract: A connection arrangement between the holding tank and the heating tank in a boiling water unit in which a transfer pipe extends between the heating tank and the metering tube through which water is transferred from the holding tank. The transfer pipe is of Teflon construction and is elevated and internally chamfered at its end which extends into the heating tank. Connection joints are provided where the transfer pipe enters both the heating tank and the metering tube and each connection joint houses an expansion joint incorporating an O-ring and lubricant.
