  • Patent number: 9157254
Abstract: An attractive window lock for conventional double hung windows is provided with a housing containing a handle and a cam. The housing defines a pair of grooves which are complementary shaped to the ends of a mounting plate. The mounting plate is affixed with fasteners to the window sash and the housing is then slideably joined to the mounting plate, concealing the mounting plate and fasteners and providing an attractive appearance for the owner. A keeper is affixed to the opposing sash and by rotating the handle on the housing the rotatable cam extends and engages the keeper to secure the sashes in place.

  • Patent number: 6457752
Abstract: A locking window. The window includes a window frame including a window sash which is selectively movable between a first closed position and a second open position. A window latch is adapted to be attached to the window and is selectively movable between a first open position and a second locked position to secure the window sash in the closed position. The window latch includes a sweep latch, which is preferably offset, and a non-compressible pivot fastener for attaching the window latch to the window. The offset arrangement provides sufficient space for substantially unequal length actuator and locking arms to provide a mechanical advantage when the window latch is operated. The pivot fastener includes a support bushing and a fastener extending through the support bushing for attaching the offset sweep latch to the window.

  • Patent number: 6289624
Abstract: A laser bore sight and method for a gun such as a rifle is provided which includes a mandrel with a laser affixed and an arbor for threadably receiving the mandrel. The arbor has a slotted conical well and a threaded shaft in communication therewith so that tightening the mandrel into the arbor will expand the outer diameter of the arbor to hold it firmly within the bore of the gun barrel while it is being sighted. To remove the laser bore sight the mandrel is rotated in an opposite direction and the arbor and mandrel are then easily removed.
