  • Patent number: 12134308
Abstract: A window may have a structural window layers such as an inner glass layer and an outer glass layer. The inner glass layer may be a layer of tempered glass. The outer glass layer may be a laminated glass layer. The inner and outer glass layers may be separated by an air gap. One or more reflection suppression layers such as antireflection layers and/or circular polarizers may be incorporated into the window to suppress reflections of light from within the interior region off of the window back towards the interior region. The antireflection layers may be formed on one or both surfaces of the inner glass and one or both surfaces of the outer glass. An electrically adjustable layer such as a guest-host liquid crystal light modulator layer or other electrically adjustable optical component layer may be interposed between the outer glass layer and the air gap.

  • Publication number: 20240361901
Abstract: In some embodiments, a computer system enables a user to invoke display of transport controls (and/or other controls associated with controlling playback of content) using gaze inputs, gesture inputs, or a combination of these. In some embodiments, in response to detecting a first user input, the computer system displays a first set of controls in a reduced-prominence state (e.g., in a manner that is not unduly distracting to the user), and in response to detecting a second user input, the computer system displays a second set of controls in an increased-prominence state (e.g., in a more visually prominent state). The second set of controls optionally includes more controls than the first set of controls.

  • Publication number: 20240293706
Abstract: Methods of manufacturing a golf club head comprising one or more stiffening members proximate the face, and particularly solid rods or a plate with one or more cutouts, is disclosed herein. One method comprises the steps of preparing a wax mold of a golf club head including a plate stiffening member with excess material, casting the golf club head, and machining away the excess material. Another method comprises the steps of casting a golf club body, providing a plate stiffening member, providing a face component such as a face cup, tack welding the plate stiffening member and the face component to the golf club body, and welding these parts together.

  • Patent number: 5189860
Abstract: Construction elements of predetermined cross-sectional and end profiles are formed. These construction elements are useful in building construction. Included in an I-shaped element, a corner/connecting block and a D-shaped profile material. In addition, end cuts may be provided to provide interlocking assembly of the different elements, to establish a family of parts. The element can be pre-cut to desired lengths and assembled as kits, or as raw material, for use in all aspects of construction. Further included is a substantially C-shaped element which provides structural strength as well as distinctively different aesthetic aspects of construction.
