  • Publication number: 20220139598
Abstract: The present disclosure describes a grommet formed of a polymeric material and adapted for securing a cable within a cable hanger. The grommet includes a main body having a generally cylindrical profile surrounding an interior cavity, the main body further having a length, a thickness, and a longitudinal axis; and two arms extending radially outwardly from the main body, one arm extending from a bottom edge of the main body and the other arm extending from a top edge of the main body, wherein each arm includes a flanged edge configured to engage the cable hanger when an excessive load force is applied to the cable. A grommet including two pairs of arms is also described herein.

  • Patent number: 7090174
Abstract: An adapter and hanger mounts an associated article to an associated anchor rail. The anchor rail is formed as a U-shaped channel having a pair of upstanding, opposing legs, each leg having an inwardly extending wall and terminating in a downwardly oriented lip. The adapter includes a top surface, flanges depending from the top surface and mounting legs extending from the flanges. The mounting legs each have a hook-like portion for engaging a respective rail lip. The adapter is flexible to permit urging the flanges inwardly toward one another for inserting a portion of the mounting legs into the U-shaped channel, and is also resilient such that the hook like portions biasedly engage the rail lips. In one embodiment, a hanger is formed integral with the adapter.

  • Patent number: 6161804
Abstract: In one aspect, a transmission line hanger is provided for securing a transmission line having a protective jacket to a supporting structure having an aperture defined by a wall. The transmission line hanger includes a transmission line retention section for retaining a transmission line. The transmission line hanger further includes an extended section extending from the retention section. The extended section includes a spring finger flexibly connected thereto, and projecting inwardly therefrom. The spring finger is configured to penetrate into the jacket once the transmission line is inserted into the hanger. The spring finger minimizes longitudinal movement of the transmission line with respect to the hanger. The extended section, in conjunction with the spring finger, allows the hanger to accommodate a large range of different transmission line diameters.
