Publication number: 20230394650Abstract: A system for detecting carryback within a dump body of a haul truck may include at least one camera and at least one controller. The at least one camera is configured to generate a scan of an interior surface of the dump body. The at least one controller is configured to receive the scan of the interior surface of the dump body and determine a type of dump body by comparing the scan of the interior surface of the dump body with at least one scan of an interior surface of a known dump body.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 2, 2022Publication date: December 7, 2023Applicant: Caterpillar SARLInventors: Justin Lee Steinlage, Christopher R. Publication number: 20230394710Abstract: A system for detecting truck damage is disclosed. The system includes a work machine that has a detection unit located on the work machine. The detection unit is used to generate a first image data and a second image data of a loading area of a truck. A controller of the system is used to receive the first image data, generate a 3D objected from the first image data, and receive the second image data that is generated later in time that the first image data. After receiving the second image data, the controller updates the 3D object and detects any indication of damage between the generating of the first image data and the second image data to the loading area.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 1, 2022Publication date: December 7, 2023Applicant: Caterpillar SARLInventors: Justin Lee STEINLAGE, Christopher R. Patent number: 11126680Abstract: A computer-executed process receives an object that characterizes a navigation capability of a website. The object includes a navigation parameter that specifies a navigation page of the web site, and a query parameter that specifies a subset of content of the navigation page. The process also executes a script to dynamically generate a navigation structure based upon the object data. The process detects selection of a navigation component of the navigation structure, and updates an address in a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) bar of the browser with a composite resource identifier to retrieve a requested subset of content of the selected navigation page. The composite resource identifier includes a subordinate resource identifier that identifies the navigation page, which is derived from the navigation parameter and at least one query derived from the query parameter, which specifies the requested subset of content of the navigation page.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 2019Date of Patent: September 21, 2021Assignee: CA, Inc.Inventors: Christopher R. Wright, Michael J. Bauer

Patent number: 9809955Abstract: A control device for an implement system of a machine is provided. The control device is mounted on a support. The control device includes a first gimbal rotatably coupled to the support. The control device also includes a second gimbal rotatably coupled to the first gimbal. The control device further includes a linear actuator having a first end and a second end. The linear actuator is fixed to the second gimbal from the first end. The control device further includes a handle attached to the linear actuator at the second end. The handle is configured to move in conjunction with rotational movements of the first gimbal and the second gimbal, and a linear movement of the linear actuator to control a movement of the implement system.Type: GrantFiled: February 16, 2016Date of Patent: November 7, 2017Assignee: Caterpillar Inc.Inventor: Christopher R. Wright

Publication number: 20170254050Abstract: A system for operating machine is provided. The system includes input unit having plurality of cameras associated with the machine and worksite. The input unit is adapted to generate visual feed associated with machine and worksite. The system further includes controller, in communication with the input unit, to receive the visual feed generated by the plurality of cameras. The system further includes an interactive display unit, in communication with the controller. The controller is adapted to display visual feed generated by the plurality of cameras on interactive display unit. The interactive display unit displays first feature interface on the interactive display unit to allow first input from operator for movement of implement system of the machine along first plane and displays second feature interface on the interactive display unit to allow second input from the operator for movement of the implement system of the machine along second plane.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 3, 2016Publication date: September 7, 2017Applicant: Caterpillar Inc.Inventor: Christopher R.
