  • Patent number: 9014256
Abstract: An endpoint element of a distributed antenna system includes processing circuitry configured for processing a plurality of digital signals for conditioning the signals and compression circuitry configured for compressing at least one of the digital signals according to a compression scheme to yield at least one compressed digital signal and compression settings. The digital signals are combined into a single digital stream and combined and time division multiplexed onto a serial data link with the compression settings. The digital signals are also transmitted with compression settings to another endpoint element over the serial data link.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 22, 2013
Date of Patent: April 21, 2015
    Assignee: Andrew LLC
Inventors: Christopher Ranson, Fred William Phillips, Thomas Kummetz
  • Patent number: 8948687
Abstract: An apparatus for repeating signals includes a receive antenna for capturing a receive signal, processing circuitry for processing the receive signal to form a repeated signal, and a transmit antenna for transmitting the repeated signal. The processing circuitry includes gain circuitry for gain in the repeated signal and decorrelation circuitry configured for modifying the repeated signal with respect to the receive signal to thereby decorrelate the repeated signal from the receive signal. The processing circuitry further comprises circuitry configured for calculating a gain margin for the apparatus utilizing the decorrelated receive and repeated signals.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 11, 2009
Date of Patent: February 3, 2015
    Assignee: Andrew LLC
    Inventors: Van Hanson, Christopher Ranson

  • Patent number: 4033793
Abstract: An aluminium alloy is provided which consists of 2 to 12% by weight of chromium, 0.2 to 3.0% by weight of iron, the balance being aluminium apart from minor proportions of impurities and incidental elements wherein most of the chromium is present as a metastable solution in the aluminium lattice which contains a precipitate phase of iron rich zones the major proportion of which have dimensions of 200A or less, the presence of large intermetallic particles, particularly at grain boundaries, being at a minimum. This alloy may be produced by an evaporation deposition process.
