  • Patent number: 10585159
Abstract: Systems and methods for locating one or more radio frequency identification (RFID) tags are provided. A phase difference of received information signals of illuminated RFID tags is utilized to locate the RFID tags. One or more exciters transmit interrogation signals to illuminate the RFID tags in which the exciters may have a plurality of antenna selectively configured to transmit through two or more antennas and to receive on one antenna. Multiple reads of the same RFID tag can also be performed to generate a probability model of the location of the RFID tag. An enhanced particle filter is applied to probability model to determine the exact location of the RFID.

  • Patent number: 10579251
Abstract: A method is performed at an electronic device with a display. On the display, the method displays a chart, which includes visual marks that represent a set of data. The chart also includes a first line and/or first band based on data in the set of data that corresponds to the displayed visual marks. The method detects one or more inputs that select a plurality (but less than all) of the displayed visual marks in the chart. In response to detecting the one or more inputs, the method displays a second line and/or second band based on data in the set of data that corresponds to the selected plurality of the displayed visual marks and maintains display of the chart and the first line and/or first band in the chart.

Abstract: A storage system and a load handling device for lifting and moving containers stacked in the storage system are described. The storage system includes a plurality of rails or tracks arranged in a grid pattern above the stacks of containers. The grid pattern can include a plurality of grid spaces and each stack is located within a footprint of only a single grid space. The load handling device is configured to move laterally on the rails or tracks above the stacks. The load-handling device includes a container-receiving space located above the rails or tracks in use and a lifting device arranged to lift a container from a stack into the container-receiving space. • Patent number: 10572114
Abstract: A user interacts with a graphical user interface on a client device. The device displays a data visualization that includes configuration parameters. The device also displays one or more read-only static controls, each static control corresponding to a respective parameter. Each static control indicates the value assigned to the corresponding parameter. A first user action activates a first static control. The first static control corresponds to a first parameter with a first value. The device displays an editable indirect control in the graphical user interface, which displays the first value. The editable indirect control is larger than the first static control, and is superimposed over the corresponding static control. The user changes the first value to a second value, and the device updates the displayed data visualization based on the second value for the first parameter. The editable indirect control is subsequently removed from display in the graphical user interface.

  • Publication number: 20200034029
Abstract: A method displays a user interface for a graphical view application. The user interface includes shelves for specifying graphical views of a dataset. A user associates first and second fields of the dataset with first and second shelves. In response, the method displays graphical views in the user interface according to the first and second fields. Each of the graphical views corresponds to a respective distinct value of the second field and each of the graphical views includes a set of graphical marks. When the first shelf defines color encoding, each graphical mark has a respective color that corresponds to a respective data value associated with the first field. When the first shelf defines size encoding, each graphical mark has a respective size that corresponds to a respective data value associated with the first field.

  • Patent number: 10542731
Abstract: A breather cap assembly is configured to be connected to a stand-tube used in a watering system. When the watering system is in normal operation, the breather cap assembly is configured to allow for air to flow between the outside the assembly and the stand-tube. The breather cap assembly also provides for structure which acts as a baffle to minimize the introduction of foreign material from outside the breather cap assembly into the stand-tube. When the watering system is in flushing operation, the breather cap assembly is configured to seal off the stand-tube in order to minimize the possibility of water leaving the stand-tube. The breather cap assembly further also provides for structure which acts as a baffle to collect and retain a majority of any water that does leave the stand-tube during a flushing operation.

  • Patent number: 10489175
Abstract: Systems, methods and computer-readable media are described for pre-warming compute instances in datacenters. A service provider associated with the datacenters may expect a demand for the compute instances and pre-configure computing resources within the datacenters to pre-launch the compute instances. As such, when a user requests a compute instance, the service provider may satisfy the request by allocating a pre-warmed compute instance to the user.

  • Patent number: 10489045
Abstract: A chart has visual marks representing a dataset and displays icons, each icon specifying a line or band calculation based on the visual marks. The method detects input on a first icon while concurrently displaying the chart and the icons. Upon selection of the first icon, the method displays option icons according to the first icon. Each option icon specifies a different way of applying the first line or band calculation to the displayed visual marks. The method detects movement of the first icon to a first option icon. The first option icon specifies a first way of the applying the first line or band calculation to the displayed visual marks. Accordingly, the method performs the first line or band calculation on the displayed visual marks in the first way to form a line or band, and superimposes the line or band on the chart.

  • Patent number: 10469500
Abstract: Users intending to launch instances or otherwise access virtual resources in a multi-tenant environment can specify a launch configuration. For each type of instance or each type of user, at least one launch configuration is created that includes parameters and values to be used in instantiating an instance of that type, the values being optimized for the current environment and type of instance. Launch configurations can be optimized for different types of users, such as to account for security credentials and access levels. Such an approach enables users to launch instances by contacting the resource provider directly without need for a proxy, which can function as a choke point under heavy load. The use of an appropriate launch configuration can be enforced for any type of user at any level, such as at the sub-net level, by modifying a request that does not specify an appropriate launch configuration.
