  • Patent number: 12357005
Abstract: This disclosure describes methods to separate solids from liquids in a production facility. A process separates components in the process stream by applying non-condensable media to create density differences and then using a mechanical device to separate the solids from the liquids based on the density difference. The process produces the liquids and solids, which may be further processed to create valuable animal feed products.

  • Patent number: 12223255
Abstract: A reading assistant tool implemented in a browser application facilitates the presentation of text content in a manner and format that addresses the reading and/or comprehension capabilities of individual users, while maintaining the context of the original content. The reading assistant tool outputs a reader view pane alongside a main content pane. Original content is presented in the main content pane, and simplified/reformatted content corresponding to text content extracted from the original content, is presented in the reader view pane. Scrolling of the extracted text content in the reader view pane is synchronized with scrolling of the original content in the main content pane, so that context is maintained as the user moves through the content. The concurrent presentation of the original content and the extracted text content allows the user to more easily consume the extracted text content, while also maintaining context as originally intended.

  • Patent number: 12163101
Abstract: This disclosure describes a method for retrofitting an existing plant. The method includes adding a fractionation process to separate bran from other components in a feedstock to the existing plant, adding a pretreatment process downstream of the fractionation process, the pretreatment process configured to receive the bran and utilize water and heat to break down cellulose and hemicellulose in the bran; adding a hydrolysis and cellulosic fermentation process downstream of the pretreatment process and upstream of the fermentation process to hydrolyze the bran with a cellulase enzyme complex cocktail and to ferment with an organism to produce cellulosic beer; and combining the cellulosic beer with starch from the grain in the existing plant into the fermentation process to increase overall yield per feedstock unit in the existing plant.

  • Patent number: 11962741
Abstract: Disclosed is an approach for displaying 3D videos in a VR and/or AR system. The 3D videos may include 3D animated objects that escape from the display screen. The 3D videos may interact with objects within the VR and/or AR environment. The 3D video may be interactive with a user such that based on user input corresponding to decisions elected by the user at certain portions of the 3D video such that a different storyline and possibly a different conclusion may result for the 3D video. The 3D video may be a 3D icon displayed within a portal of a final 3D render world.

  • Patent number: 11911685
Abstract: A skateboard deck that is both stiff in one dimension and flexible in another dimension is disclosed. The deck includes an elongated body characterized by a longitudinal axis, a plurality of ribs, and a plurality of apertures. The plurality of ribs are long, narrow beams oriented substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis and integral with the bottom of the elongated body. The plurality of apertures are distributed in a plurality of rows also oriented substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis. The ribs and rows of apertures are interposed in an alternating pattern across the width of the deck. The resulting deck is stiff in the longitudinal direction yet flexible with respect to rotation about the longitudinal axis. The deck is therefore flexible enough to enable the front and rear trucks to rotate with respect to one another while still being rigid enough to withstand the weight of the rider.
