Abstract: Processes for the production of high purity isobutylene are disclosed. The processes may include supplying a mixed C4 feed stream to a catalytic distillation column, which may contain a butene isomerization catalyst. 1-butene is isomerized to 2-butene and concurrently in the catalytic distillation column the 2-butene is separated from the isobutane and isobutylene. The overheads fraction comprising the isobutane and isobutylene is then condensed in an overheads system and fed to a splitter, where the isobutane is separated from the isobutylene. The process further includes operating the catalytic distillation column at an overheads temperature greater than a bottoms temperature of the splitter, and heating a portion of the splitter bottoms stream via indirect heat exchange with at least a portion of the catalytic distillation column overheads fraction, thereby producing a heated bottoms stream (reboil vapor) fed to the splitter and a cooled overheads fraction.

Abstract: Methods, systems and computer program products for determining and providing an availability status of an individual in an open working environment are provided. Aspects include obtaining historical usage data, communication data, calendar data, and statuses set data from selected network-connected devices used by the individual, and calculating a current availability status for the individual based on the historical usage data, the communication data, calendar data, and the statuses set data. Aspects also include calculating a predicted future availability status for the individual based on the historical usage data, the communication data, calendar data, and the statuses set data, and visibly displaying proximate the individual's workspace the current availability status and the predicted future availability status to others in the open working environment.

Abstract: A computerized open network business rating process is disclosed enabling small businesses to receive an accurate creditworthiness rating. The process is operated within a computerized processor. The process includes actively polling a plurality of peer businesses related to a subject business to monitor inputs from the plurality of businesses. The plurality of peer businesses each provide one of a good or service to the subject business. The inputs include information related to a creditworthiness of the subject business. The process further includes compiling a creditworthiness score based upon the monitored inputs and generating a report displaying the creditworthiness score for the subject company.

Abstract: A communication system for transmitting a signal through a channel medium comprising digitizing the signal, time-reversing the digitized signal, and transmitting the signal through the channel medium. In one embodiment a transmitter is adapted to transmit the signal, a multiplicity of receivers are adapted to receive the signal, a digitizer digitizes the signal, and a time-reversal signal processor is adapted to time-reverse the digitized signal. An embodiment of the present invention includes multi bit implementations. Another embodiment of the present invention includes 1-bit implementations. Another embodiment of the present invention includes a multiplicity of receivers used in the step of transmitting the signal through the channel medium.

Abstract: A data processor controlled user interactive display system for displaying hypertext documents, each including a sequence of display screen pages received over a communications network such as the World Wide Web. Each of the pages contains a plurality of hotspots responsive to user interactive pointing means to display a linked document. The system provides display pages in alternate versions wherein only the hotspots on the page are displayed. It includes means for selecting said alternate version for display and means, responsive to said means for selecting, for transmitting said alternate version containing hotspots only to a receiving display station.

Abstract: The present invention is a system and method for finding information of interest within a particular Web page. A user creates an interest profile, which is stored with the user's browser. An interest profile may be as simple as a list of key words, or may be more complex, including data such as relative importance weights and boolean expressions. Once an interest profile is created, it may be used on any Web page to sort the information on the page according to the user s interests. Information may be sorted by line, paragraph, section, or any other defined scope. Once sorted, the information is displayed to the user as a series of links to the actual points of interest within the original page.

Abstract: The present invention is a system, method, and computer readable medium for controlling the downloading and display of animated sequences from a server to a client. A user chooses which, if any, animated sequences to view on a Web page. Before downloading a graphics file associated with a particular Web page, the server checks the file to determine if it contains any animated sequences. If the graphics file contains an animated sequence, the server only downloads the first graphic image of the animated sequence. This first graphic image is presented as a static image to the user. By only downloading the first graphic image, download time is reduced and less memory and disk space is used in the client. The user views the static image presented on the screen, and then determines if he wishes to view the entire animated sequence. If so, the user indicates that he wishes to view the entire animated sequence.
