Abstract: A weight assembly for engagement with a fishing line, the assembly includes a first structure having a first structure contact surface, the first structure contact surface formed having a first set of two or more channels disposed in the first structure contact surface, a second structure having a second structure contact surface formed having a second set of two or more channels disposed in the second structure contact surface, wherein the first member contact surface of the first structure member is configured to engage the second structure contact surface, and wherein the first set of two or more channels disposed in the first structure contact surface and the second set of two or more channels disposed in the second structure contact surface are aligned to form two or more passageways therethrough and, functions to releasably affix to a fishing line as either a fixed sinker or as a sliding sinker.
