  • Publication number: 20250200333
Abstract: A large language model has multiple different layers, each layer generating a set of hidden state values that are passed on to a subsequent layer, during generation. A probe accesses the hidden state values and generates a probe output indicative of how likely a next token to be generated will be an undesirable token (such as a hallucination). An action signal is generated based upon the probe output. The action signal can be used to terminate generation, to generate an alert, or to perform other actions.

  • Patent number: 12315614
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that provide smart alerts to users, e.g., alerts to users about diabetic states that are only provided when it makes sense to do so, e.g., when the system can predict or estimate that the user is not already cognitively aware of their current condition, e.g., particularly where the current condition is a diabetic state warranting attention. In this way, the alert or alarm is personalized and made particularly effective for that user. Such systems and methods still alert the user when action is necessary, e.g., a bolus or temporary basal rate change, or provide a response to a missed bolus or a need for correction, but do not alert when action is unnecessary, e.g., if the user is already estimated or predicted to be cognitively aware of the diabetic state warranting attention, or if corrective action was already taken.

  • Patent number: 12287782
Abstract: Techniques for database management are described. A database management system may transmit a request for a data management system of a database to provide a set of metadata attributes for structured data within the database, and may receive a set of metadata attributes for the structured data within the database. The data management system may perform a pattern matching procedure to evaluate the set of metadata attributes for the structured data within the database against one or more patterns associated with a data type to determine one or more locations within the database that include structured data of the data type. Based on the pattern matching procedure, the data management system may output an indication that the one or more locations within the database include structured data of the data type.

  • Patent number: 12277139
Abstract: In some examples, a system maintains, for a base storage structure and a collection of snapshots associated with the base storage structure, statistics relating to usage of storage space based on data of the base storage structure and the collection of snapshots. The system checks metadata of a first snapshot to determine validity of references in the metadata and a presence of any child of the first snapshot or a grandparent of the first snapshot. The system associates, based on the validity of the references in the metadata and the presence of any child or grandparent of the first snapshot, a hint with a metadata entry of a parent of the first snapshot to indicate that a metadata entry of the child or the grandparent is to be checked. The system updates, using the hint, the statistics relating to usage of storage space.

  • Publication number: 20250104154
Abstract: Embodiments of the inventive subject matter are directed to retirement plan optimization. By collecting client information, systems and methods of the inventive subject matter are configured to develop scenarios for a user. From those scenarios, multiple simulations can be run. Each scenario features scenario parameters, and each simulation features simulation parameters. Scenario parameters can include ranges of values or a set of different possible values. For a given scenario, many simulations can be run, where each simulation has a corresponding set of simulation parameters, and where each set of simulation parameters features set values for each of the scenario parameters for that scenario. After running multiple simulations for each scenario, high performing simulations can be identified based on a base case performance and based on one or more optimization goals. Once high performing simulations are identified, actionable retirement plans can be developed therefrom.
