  • Patent number: 11563756
Abstract: A distributed security system can include instances of a compute engine that can execute either locally in security agents on client devices or as cloud instances in a security network. Event data can be processed by elements of the distributed security system according to centrally-defined ontological definitions and/or configurations. Bounding managers of local security agents can control how much event data is sent to the security network. A storage engine in the security network can store event data received from client devices, can route event data to other elements of the security network, including cloud instances of the compute engine. An experimentation engine of the security network can also at least temporarily adjust other elements of the distributed security system during experiments or tests.

  • Publication number: 20230013632
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that provide smart alerts to users, e.g., alerts to users about diabetic states that are only provided when it makes sense to do so, e.g., when the system can predict or estimate that the user is not already cognitively aware of their current condition, e.g., particularly where the current condition is a diabetic state warranting attention. In this way, the alert or alarm is personalized and made particularly effective for that user. Such systems and methods still alert the user when action is necessary, e.g., a bolus or temporary basal rate change, or provide a response to a missed bolus or a need for correction, but do not alert when action is unnecessary, e.g., if the user is already estimated or predicted to be cognitively aware of the diabetic state warranting attention, or if corrective action was already taken.

  • Publication number: 20230021243
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments are directed to a method and apparatus for training a smart device to recognize events in an indoor or outdoor venue. The smart device can execute program code for generating a specialized user interface. The smart device can record a target event in the venue or control another smart device to record the target event. The smart device can process the recording of the target event to generate an event signature. A unique tag for the recorded event can be generated, and the event signature and the unique tag can be transmitted to cloud storage. The smart device can receive event recordings from other smart devices in the venue and compare the event recordings to the event signatures in cloud storage. The smart device can generate at least one user or device prompt regarding the target event when the event recording matches an event signature.

  • Publication number: 20230014943
Abstract: A control system for controlling humidity in an indoor growing environment is provided, which includes software to control the removal of moisture by using current Vapor Pressure Deficit (VPD) as measured in the indoor air space of a grow room in comparison to a target Vapor Pressure Deficit. The temperature and relative humidity in various areas of the grow room are monitored and used by the software to calculate the current VPD and determine a preferred profile for the target VPD. The control system is configured to maintain consistent VPD with moisture removal by a dehumidifier in response to temperature variations throughout a night/day cycle and through successive growth stages to ensure optimal plant growth and transpiration rates.

  • Patent number: 11552787
Abstract: A computing device includes an array of addressable elements. Each addressable element is a hardware element that generates a substantially consistent response when interrogated. The device includes a processor coupled to the array of addressable elements and configured to communicate using a communication network. The processor receives a public key, and processes the public key to produce at least a set of addresses. Each address in the set of addresses identifies one or more hardware elements in the array of addressable elements. The processor generates a set of responses by interrogating the one or more hardware elements in the array of addressable elements identified by the set of addresses according to a set of reading instructions, appends the responses in the set of responses to generate a private key, receives an encrypted message and decrypts the encrypted message using the private key to generate an unencrypted message.

  • Patent number: 11552595
Abstract: Networks of superharmonic injection-locked (SHIL) electronic oscillators can be used to emulate Ising machines for solving difficult computational problems. The oscillators can be simulated or implemented in hardware (e.g., with LC oscillators) and are coupled to each other with links whose connection strengths are weighted according to the problem being solved. The oscillators' phases may be measured with respect to reference signal(s) from one or more reference oscillators, each of which emits a reference signal but does not receive input from any other oscillator. Sparsely connected networks of SHIL oscillators and reference oscillators can be used as Viterbi decoders that do not suffer from the information bottleneck between logic computational blocks and memory in digital computing systems.

  • Publication number: 20220417043
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing authentication and secure cryptographic communication between a client and server are described. The client includes an addressable array of PUF devices. The client receives or generates a set of instructions usable to determine a range of PUF addresses. The client measures the PUF addresses and generates a first set of responses. The responses are used to encrypt a session key, which is stored, along with the instructions and a hash of the responses, at the client. Later, the client may recover the session key by using the instructions to measure the PUF again, resulting in a second set of responses. Using a response-based cryptography search engine, the client may then iteratively modify and hash the second set of responses until a response set is uncovered that matches the first response set. This modified response set may then be used to uncover the session key.

  • Publication number: 20220412204
Abstract: A system and method for stall recovery of mud motors may be implemented in a steering control system. The stall recovery system and method may involve automatic detection of a stall of a mud motor during drilling controlled by the steering control system, and may respond to the stall in a rapid and controlled manner to avoid or minimize damage to the mud motor, such as by immediately reducing mud pressure and stopping rotary drilling, if used, faster than a typical human operator could perform. The stall recovery system and method may further take actions to automatically restart drilling.

  • Patent number: 11523905
Abstract: Features for a restraint, such as a cap, are described. The restraint secures a cardiac device in a collapsed, delivery configuration for transcatheter delivery to a heart. The restraint may have a tubular sidewall extending from a proximal end to a distal end, a proximal opening defined by the sidewall at the proximal end and a channel defined by the sidewall and extending distally from the proximal opening. The restraint is configured to receive the implant in the collapsed configuration through the proximal opening to radially restrain the implant within the channel. The restraint eliminates the need for a surrounding sheath, reducing the delivery profile and size of the overall delivery system, among other advantages. The restraint may have an atraumatic leading edge to reduce the risk of injury to the patient.
