Abstract: The invention provides structures, methods, and assemblies for bioretention systems, including tree box filters with one or more internal bypass features incorporated into the tree box filter. The invention also provides methods and additional structures that are useful for managing stormwater flow and inhibiting the flow of pollutants, debris, and other contaminants into drainage systems.

Abstract: Structures, methods, and assemblies for stormwater management systems with one or more internal bypass features incorporated into a vault-shaped enclosure are described, along with methods and additional structures that are useful for managing stormwater flow and inhibiting the flow of pollutants, debris, and other contaminants into drainage systems. A first compartment disposed within the vault and comprising a removable bypass pipe, a baffle wall adjacent to the bypass pipe, a screened floatables baffle attached to the baffle wall, and a fluid-conveyance opening disposed along the baffle wall are described. A fluid-conveyance opening is located below the top of a bypass pipe, and a second compartment is in fluid communication with the first compartment through the fluid-conveyance opening. A second compartment is adapted to incorporate a filtration cartridge.
