  • Patent number: 10830561
Abstract: A scope turret including a dial assembly that is configured to adjust point of aim optics of a scope is disclosed. The turret may include an adjustable stop assembly that prevents the dial assembly from rotating in one direction. The adjustable stop assembly may include a traveler, a nut assembly, and a bolt. The adjustable stop assembly may be internally-adjustable or externally-adjustable. The dial assembly may include an engagement mechanism. The engagement mechanism may include a button that is slidable between an engaged position and a disengaged position of the engagement mechanism. The turret may further include a locking mechanism that selectively prevents the dial assembly from rotating in any direction.

  • Publication number: 20190390938
Abstract: A riflescope having a display that provides information to a user of the riflescope, along with related methods, is provided herein. In one embodiment, a riflescope includes an objective system and an ocular system, wherein a focal plane is defined between the objective system and the ocular system. A display system, comprising a display and a mirror, is positioned at a location between the focal plane and the ocular system. In one embodiment, the distance between the focal plane and the ocular system is equal to a sum of a distance between the display and the mirror and a distance between the mirror and the ocular system.

  • Publication number: 20150247702
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that provide a riflescope with an internal display. In some embodiments, the riflescope may include a housing; an ocular system disposed within the housing; a reticle disposed within the housing and viewable through the ocular system; an adjustment knob coupled with the housing and the reticle, the adjustment knob configured to move the reticle; a position encoder configured to provide position data representing a relative position of the reticle relative to at least a portion of the riflescope; a display system providing a display viewable through the ocular system; a memory having ballistic information stored therein; and a processor coupled with the memory, the position encoder, and the display system. The processor may be configured to determine an adjustment value based on the position data and the ballistic information and provide the adjustment value to the display system for display.

  • Patent number: 8984796
Abstract: A scope adjustment system includes a turret cap assembly, a saddle assembly, and a quick spanner assembly. The turret cap assembly includes a ring with a plurality of regularly spaced apart teeth residing circumferentially around the ring. The saddle assembly includes a transportation element in mechanical communication with a plunger. The saddle assembly includes a click element to engage the teeth of the ring. The quick spanner assembly includes a bolt that may be coupled to the transportation element, a cam lock hinged to the bolt, and a pressure plate residing between the bolt and the cam lock. The bolt can be screwed into the transportation element, and the cam lock can be set to apply a force on the pressure plate such that the transportation element engages the plunger. When engaged, the plunger is responsive to rotations of the turret cap to adjust, e.g., an aiming reticle.
