  • Patent number: 10034031
Abstract: A content management system may generate a single content entity to manage multiple bitrate encodings for multiple content consumption platforms. A content management system may receive master content from a content creator/provider. Multiple bitrate encodings of the master content may be generated for consumption on multiple content consumption platforms. A single content entity identifier may be created to identify as a single content entity the generated bitrate encodings. The single content entity may be published to a content delivery system. The content delivery system may receive requests from content consumption devices for the content entity. A content delivery system may dynamically generate a content manifest to be sent to the content consumption device for use in streaming the content entity.

  • Patent number: 9069723
Abstract: One exemplary embodiment involves receiving a request at a server device, the request identifying electronic content and a modification for the electronic content. The request may be based at least in part on information provided in a uniform resource locator (URL) or other address used by a requesting client device to initiate the request for the electronic content from the server. A parameter of the URL or other address may be used to specify the modification. The exemplary embodiment further involves identifying, via the server device, a source file associated with the electronic content, changing, via the server device, an element within the source file according to the modification identified in the request, and providing modified electronic content from the server device for use on the requesting client device.

  • Patent number: 6792575
Abstract: A system using as input original media, an HTML document or browser language having proprietary tags, Web server traffic, and Web-client capabilities to generate an optimized Web media and HTML to refer to the generate media, and to automatically deploy the HTML and media to the Web server is provided. A Web authoring process is provided for facilitating creation of the media, assignment of a unique name to the media, and modification of the HTML document or browser language to contain a proprietary tag. Viewing capability is provided by the Web server passing the HTML or browser language, client browser capabilities, and current server traffic to the system, which parses the HTML or browser language searching for the proprietary tags. If a proprietary tag is found, the tag is processed to generate the Web media. Information is stored in the system database in case identical proprietary tags are processed.
