  • Publication number: 20240159907
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and system detect a speed of a vehicle. Laser beams are emitted into an atmosphere from the vehicle. The laser beams are emitted in different directions from the vehicle. Sets of backscatter light are generated in response to transmitting the laser beams into the atmosphere from the vehicle. The sets of backscatter light have frequency shifts relative to the frequency of the laser beams. A set of beat frequencies from interfering the sets of backscatter light with each other is measure. The speed of the vehicle is determined using the set of beat frequencies.

  • Publication number: 20240151848
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and system detects a speed of a vehicle. A backscatter light generated in response to transmitting a laser beam into an atmosphere during movement of the vehicle is received. A first beat frequency from interfering a first portion of the backscatter light with a reference light derived from the laser beam is measured. A time delay is introduced to a second portion of the backscatter light to form a time delayed backscatter light. A second beat frequency from interfering the time delayed backscatter light with the reference light is measured. The second beat frequency is time delayed from the first beat frequency. A difference between the first beat frequency and the second beat frequency is determined. The speed of the vehicle using the difference between the first beat frequency and the second beat frequency is determined.

  • Patent number: 11969578
Abstract: Methods, devices and systems are disclosed for inter-app communications between software applications on a mobile communications device. In one aspect, a computer-readable medium on a mobile computing device comprising an inter-application communication data structure to facilitate transitioning and distributing data between software applications in a shared app group for an operating system of the mobile computing device includes a scheme field of the data structure providing a scheme id associated with a target software app to transition to from a source software app, wherein the scheme id is listed on a scheme list stored with the source software app; and a payload field of the data structure providing data and/or an identification where to access data in a shared file system accessible to the software applications in the shared app group, wherein the payload field is encrypted.

  • Patent number: 7577963
Abstract: An event translator system for receiving input information, parsing event data on the input information to produce a result event data set and generating an event list based on an analysis of the event the result data set, performing an event listing and displaying event list to a user interface module. The event translation system translating event data also include receiving user feedback on the event listing and using the user feedback to improve subsequent operations of at least one harvesting algorithm. Translating event data also includes at least two harvesting algorithms for performing the input information to generate a plurality of result event data sets and creating an event listing for display to a user interface module based on an analysis of the plurality of result event data sets.

  • Publication number: 20070220063
Abstract: An event translator system may perform at least three tasks: (1) extract or “harvest” date, time, description, and other information from digital files generated for human reading, such as web calendars or other event lists, emailed calendars, and imported files; (2) present the extracted event data to a user for modification, management, and monitoring; and (3) export the events to PIM software, web pages and/or application programming interfaces as appropriate file formats. The event translation system may be incorporated into a web site that is accessed by the user who enters a desired web address for event translation or otherwise transmits the digital files for translation. Alternatively, the system may be incorporated into a webpage as a browser plug-in that provides a user-selectable option to extract event information from a visited webpage.
