Patent number: 11934278Abstract: A data storage library is described that protects against a malware attack by providing a scheduled write window of time where archive data can be written to tape cartridges in the tape library on behalf of a client. At times outside of the write window, the tape library is disabled from writing any archive data to any of the tape cartridges in the tape library. Accordingly, the tape library is protected from a malicious entity attempting to download malware to tape cartridges in the tape library outside of the designated write windows. The tape library is configured to provide or otherwise read archived data from a tape cartridge both in the write window and outside of the write window.Type: GrantFiled: February 27, 2023Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: Spectra Logic CorporationInventors: Nathan Christopher Thompson, Matthew Thomas Starr, Matthew Ninesling, Walter Wong

Publication number: 20240077038Abstract: A dual-fuel turbine engine is a type of turbine engine that can operate using two different fuel sources, such as liquid fuel (e.g., diesel) and natural gas. For liquid fuels, the turbine engine includes a primary line to facilitate engine startup and a secondary line to modify power output. Generally, the turbine engine only uses one type of fuel for combustion at a time. The fuel lines and passages in the fuel nozzles that carry the unused fuel source should preferably be purged and sealed by a purging system to reduce coking. However, conventional purge systems typically purge and seal only the secondary line for liquid fuels. As a result, the passages in the fuel nozzles connected to the primary line are prone to coking. To address this problem, a purge system is disclosed that purges and seals the primary line and, optionally, the secondary line.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 6, 2023Publication date: March 7, 2024Inventors: Vinayak Barve, David Plaza, Alex Starr, Joseph McMurry, Mike Yarnold, Christopher Beebe, Yanxia Sun

Patent number: 10995842Abstract: Embodiments are directed toward a pulley. The pulley preferably has a fixed side plate, an operable side plate, a sheave, and a double-action lock. The operable side plate is preferably transitionable between a closed configuration and an open configuration. The sheave is preferably disposed between the fixed side plate and the operable side plate. The double-action lock is preferably transitionable from a locked configuration to an unlocked configuration upon completion of two separate and distinct actions. The lock in the locked configuration preferably prevents transition of the operable side plate from the closed configuration to the open configuration. The lock in the unlocked configuration preferably permits transition of the operable side plate from the closed configuration to the open configuration.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 2020Date of Patent: May 4, 2021Assignee: Summit Rescue, Inc.Inventors: Richard H.
