  • Publication number: 20220406637
Abstract: Gaskets for wafer containers include a seal body and a retention projection. The retention projection includes a retention segment extending from the seal body, a compression relief segment extending from the retention segment, and a bead disposed at an end of the compression relief segment. The compression relief segment has a cross-sectional width less than a cross-sectional width of the retention segment. The bead has a shape including portion having a width greater than a cross-sectional width of the gland at a corresponding depth in the gland. The gasket can be provided in a wafer container or a door of the wafer container.

  • Patent number: 11398395
Abstract: A door of a substrate container includes a latching mechanism for operating at least two latch members. The substrate container can be a front opening substrate container or a bottom opening substrate container. The latching mechanism can include a rotatable cam having a first rotational profile out of phase with a second rotational profile such that when the cam is rotated to operate the latch mechanism from the disengaged position to the engaged position, a first latch member engages a first corresponding slot in a door frame prior to a second latch member engaging a second corresponding opening provided in the door frame such that the latch members are operated in a staggered manner. This staggered latching configuration allows for the application of a load provided by the system to be used in the most efficient manner per latch arm or per set of latch arms.

  • Patent number: 10784135
Abstract: A substrate container with a substrate retainer mounted to a biased actuation linkage, and a door assembly with latch assist. Various configurations for biasing the substrate retainer in a substrate non-engagement position are disclosed. The biasing helps prevent the substrate retainer from hanging up due to friction that might otherwise counter the gravitational force that is otherwise relied upon for disengagement. The assembly may also include retention clips that positively secure the substrate retainer to the actuation linkage. The latch assist provides springs that deliver stored energy to assist in latching and unlatching the door assembly from the substrate carrier. The latch assist further provides off-center forces that bias the latching mechanism in either an unlatched or a fully latched configuration.
