Patent number: 11949529Abstract: The subject technology receives, at a local device, a requested camera format based on specifications of a display associated with a remote device. The remote device and the local device are devices participating in a video conference. The requested camera format includes a first resolution. Camera formats supported by a camera associated with the local device are determined. If a second resolution of a first camera format matches among the supported camera formats matches with the first resolution, the first camera format is selected for capturing the video stream by the camera. Otherwise, a second camera format among the supported camera formats is determined for capturing the video stream so as to maximize a field of view of the video stream relative to other camera formats supported by the camera.Type: GrantFiled: September 29, 2022Date of Patent: April 2, 2024Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Karthick Santhanam, Eric L. Patent number: 11929145Abstract: Technology provided herein relates in part to methods, processes, machines and apparatuses for non-invasive assessment of genetic alterations. In particular, a method is provided for that includes obtaining a set of sequence reads. The sequence reads each include a single molecule barcode (SMB) sequence that is a non-random oligonucleotide sequence. The method further includes assigning the sequence reads to read groups according to a read group signature. The read group signature comprises an SMB sequence and a start and end position of a nucleic acid fragment from the circulating cell free sample nucleic acid. The sequence reads comprising start and end positions and an SMB sequence similar to the read group signature are assigned to a read group. The method further includes generating a consensus for each read group, and determining the presence or absence of a genetic alteration based on the consensus for each read group.Type: GrantFiled: January 22, 2018Date of Patent: March 12, 2024Assignee: SEQUENOM, INCInventors: Mostafa Azab, Michael Sykes, Youting Sun, Amin Mazloom, Taylor Jensen, Mathias Ehrich, Christopher Ellison

Publication number: 20240077038Abstract: A dual-fuel turbine engine is a type of turbine engine that can operate using two different fuel sources, such as liquid fuel (e.g., diesel) and natural gas. For liquid fuels, the turbine engine includes a primary line to facilitate engine startup and a secondary line to modify power output. Generally, the turbine engine only uses one type of fuel for combustion at a time. The fuel lines and passages in the fuel nozzles that carry the unused fuel source should preferably be purged and sealed by a purging system to reduce coking. However, conventional purge systems typically purge and seal only the secondary line for liquid fuels. As a result, the passages in the fuel nozzles connected to the primary line are prone to coking. To address this problem, a purge system is disclosed that purges and seals the primary line and, optionally, the secondary line.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 6, 2023Publication date: March 7, 2024Inventors: Vinayak Barve, David Plaza, Alex Starr, Joseph McMurry, Mike Yarnold, Christopher Beebe, Yanxia Sun

Patent number: 10114068Abstract: An integrated circuit capable of monitoring aging effects on an integrated circuit device is disclosed. The integrated circuit includes a control circuit that obtains a clock signal at different frequencies. A sense circuit may receive the clock signal. First and second control signals may be asserted on the integrated circuit with the control circuit. The first control signal may activate a stress mode, and the second control signal may activate a measurement mode. During stress mode, the sense circuit may receive the clock signal. Any changes in predetermined electrical parameters of one or more transistors in the sense circuit may be monitored and measured during the measurement mode. Aging compensation may be performed when aging effect is detected on the sense circuit.Type: GrantFiled: August 22, 2013Date of Patent: October 30, 2018Assignee: Altera CorporationInventors: Christopher Sun Young Chen, Jeffrey T. Patent number: 9780793Abstract: Transistors degrade when subjected to voltage stress. Methods are described for reducing this aging problem by applying a reverse voltage to the gates of the circuit on an intermittent or periodic basis. By applying such a voltage for a brief period of time such as one second, the aging process is essentially nullified.Type: GrantFiled: January 6, 2016Date of Patent: October 3, 2017Assignee: Altera CorporationInventor: Christopher Sun Young Chen

Patent number: 8849255Abstract: A method of limiting presentation of rules based events includes receiving a request to view a rules based event at a computer. A first estimate of a first geographic location of the computer is obtained. The first estimate includes a first confidence determination. If the first confidence determination is less than a first established confidence level, a second estimate of the first geographic location of the computer is obtained. The second estimate includes a second confidence determination for comparison to a second established confidence level. The first estimate and the second estimate define a composite estimated geographic location of the computer. Information on a second geographic location of the rules based event is retrieved. The retrieved information is compared with the composite estimated geographic location of the computer. Access to the rules based event is provided based on access rules, the comparison, and the composite estimated geographic location.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 2012Date of Patent: September 30, 2014Assignee: MLB Advanced Media, L.P.Inventors: Joseph Francis Choti, Justin Alexander Shaffer, Christopher Sun, Shadeed S.
